heheh yeah that's how I saw it. Bookied and checked back daily. It's still not being tracked by Aussie post as far as I can tell but should be delivered by Friday now you'd hope.

Right, well, I just opened my purchases from Dreamforge...

Mark, you have my sincerest congratulations... the Leviathan Crusader (and associated extras and options) have got to be the most professionally packaged, assembled, and constructed products I have ever seen in this hobby, bar none.

You make GW look amateurish by comparison.

Colour me deeply impressed, I can't wait to get to assembly and painting.

"Its terrible the way that conversion kit is causing him to buy 2 GW kits... " - Mad4Minis

There is, as far as I can see, only one sour note in the entire product.

The pistons for the Excalibur arm are not manufactured the same way as the others, there is one set (Not the set that glues both ends to the same piece and can't move, I'm not that cabbage looking! ) where the pin is moulded to the piece that the pistons glue to. This means that they will not rotate if glued in and therefore lock the elbow joint of that arm. If you do not glue them, they insist of falling out almost every time you move them past a certain extrension.

In a GW kit, that would be expected. But in something that is otherwise so superbly engineered, it's a real let-down. I'll probably end up drilling and pinning that set to retain the freedom of being able to pose whilst preventing them falling out when I'm not looking.

I hope that Mark can do a revision at some stage to improve this otherwise annoying, but still slight, flaw.

And I really ought to get on more with painting mine and then finishing assembly. I should be able to get the standard coolers magnetised and more paintwork done this weekend, then hopefully get it finished over Easter.

Conrad, did you use the proper piston, using the updated instructions on Mark's blog? I did, and mine never falls out. It's a bit loose and could have benefited from a tighter fit, but aside from that, A1. It was an issue that was mentionned a few pages back.

I got about a hundred troopers a few days back, and have been enjoying assembling them..great models, I got a few of the extra equipment packs, and it really adds alot to the look of the minis (extra gear and all)

Will get to painting some up this weekend..I may have found the perfect human Aux models for my Tau..at least until DF publishes their own rules

Again great models.

Yeah those accessory packs are the greatest thing (amongst a huge pile of great things) for me.

I must wonder if other factions within the Dreamforge game get similar accessory packs, be pretty cool I think

While all of you aussies and NZ'ers are getting your stuff I seem to have assembled all of mine!

This is going to be hard to explain using only words but I will give it a try... On the accessory sprue there is are a selection of mini pouches joined together to make a row of three but I can't for the life of me figure out where they go, any ideas?

Is it pictured on the insert anywhere?

I agree with you guys, the accessory pack is absolutely awesome! The only thing I found lacking was the instructions, as I think mine didn't make it into the box, but luckily they're on the webpage

Ahh thanks for that Ritides! I was looking for something like that, now to go rip half of them off after discovering where they were actually supposed to go...

Not sure Matthieu. I was at home and without internet access at the time I did it and am thinking of magnetising them now. I am refering to the front pistons made from CC1/CC2, not the rear ones parts DD4. There seems to be nothing changed on the online instructions for those parts from the paper ones I have. Still, a couple of 2mm magnet will solve it.

Oh I thought you meant the BB1 and BB2 assembly.

No glued those in place, to be honest. Especially since there were two of them, I thought it was going to be easier to do so and assure a better stability to the whole thing.

So far, that is by far the tightest arm socket fit, and I am always wary of breaking something by removing/putting it back on. It's like there is no proper surface for me to put my fingers to apply rotation.

I see where the confusion would lie. But no, I was not aware of the error involving the parts BB1/BB2. In fact, without the instructions to hand, I still don't. I am aware of the miss-labelled pins that could get used in to the torso units, but thought that was an old mistake

I really don't want to glue these pistons as I am using a solvent glue so can't really 'force' the glue to accept the twist that some cements can, and if I glue using solvent, I'm sure I'll lock the elbow into place permanently.

Still, gluing a couple of 2mm magnets into the join in place of some of the pin shouldn't be a problem, and I should have enough left over after using them to magnetise parts G5 and G6 to G4 so I can swap my coolers as needed.

I'll have to double-check mine when I get home; I don't recall having any issues with gluing that section and retaining movement, but the memory gets fuzzy sometimes. My problem with that arm was not being able to get the screw to hold tension properly. Ironically, it was the front piston (assembly BB1/BB2) that actually is holding the tension.

Good show, Conrad, magnetizing those coolers/oil stacks.

Can you post pictures of where you put all of them?

I find myself at a impasse I have several paint schemes I want to paint the troopers up in, but can't really decide the direction to go...ambush scheme, blowing leaf, artic, urban, modern bundeswher...guess I will have to do a bit more deciding before I get to painting this weekend.

But at least its a fun impasse

No problem, Mathieu. I should be able to take some pictures over the weekend and get a thread started in P&M either late sunday or sometime Monday. Later I'll include magnetising the cooler plate onto the back for easy access to batteries and such.

Edit: OK, part one, magnetising parts G4/5/6 is now in P&M section. Hope to have more up tomorrow.

Soon I shall begin my Dreamforge fun. I wanted to get my Cygnar army fully painted, and all thats left is gravel on the bases and clearcoat, then its time for my reward.

My reward for fully painting 80+ points of Warmachine...starting to build my 28mm Crusader. After all that painting it will be nice to just build for a little while.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

Got mine. Took them out of the shipping box just now and piled the DFG boxes in the corner of the room. Hopefully I'll have time to look at the stuff properly over Easter. Hell week at work incoming...

I'm actually waiting at my parents house (where it is being delivered) instead of at mine, for it to get here. Free food for a weekend rocks.

Walked into my FLGS today, they had Dreamforge stuff . I picked up a box of the heavy weapons.

They were sold out of the main boxes of stormtroopers, and the Leviathans- 2 were actually in the process of being assembled at the store!

Awesome to say the least

That is pure awesome for sure. Next time im at my LGS (its an hour away) Ill have to ask if they know anything about Dreamforge, and get them in on it if they dont. Actually I think Ill do the same for Blackwater Gulch, Id love to see that on their shelves as well.

It's here, and it's even better than I expected, I had forgotton I pledged for 40 of the storm troopers, and max Ada's. I'm so happy despite my fever. Or maybe because of it. Doesn't matter, I'm in heaven. And (on a kind of unrelated note) a box of warmachine figures arrived as well today. I'm so happy

Given we were expecting great things, that's pretty awesome isn't it ; ) So long as Mark can handle the business side of things this should be an excellent line of minis.

I just wish he'd poke his head in and give us an update, honestly. It seems to have been almost a month since we last heard of him.
