Agreed, ironicsilence! Mark has been a class act. The delay has been a bummer, but other than that, it's been spades as far as I'm concerned.

I have utterly no use for my Levis until the game rules firm up, and until people start playing. Troopers, at least I can proxy as IG, but the Levis...yeah, no use for them yet. Aside from the fact that they're totally awesome. And that's use enough, even if I never played under any DFG rules at all.

Summer 2013 is going to be THE summer I finally get my friends to play a full day game of 40K with super-heavies...

...and if they bring their kids, it'll turn into the most expensive game ever!

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but how big are the troopers compared to WH40K? Space Marine-size or more like Imperial Guard infrantry scale?

Far less heavy set than SM, but slightly taller (brought down to the same height by a thinner base)

Not to mention much better looking!

(still tempted to paint a couple up in full SM heraldry to see how they'd look as SMs.)

I second this one. Kudos to Mark on the way he is handling everything. Delays I can handle, it is the silence and jumping into new projects before finishing the current one (that other companies do) that really gets up my nose.

Looks like my local hobby shop has started carrying the troopers. I bought a set since I couldn't afford it during the KS, hopefully they will get the rest of the line in too.

I havent paid much attention to the timeline of waves 2 and 3, or even whats specifically in them...so I have a question...the optional weapon arms for the 28mm Leviathans, aprox when will they hit regular retail sale?

The first wave Left-handed Assault cannon is already out. The second wave weapons have no ETA yet. Expect about 3-5 months from now.

Oh? I thought since they were wave 2, they'd have gotten them out sooner, to capitalize on the awesomeness of the Mortis.

They *are* wave two, but they're substantially delayed right along with the rest of that wave, AFAIK. Oh well, better they get it *just* right, IMO.

I think Az is just saying with the delays already in place, expect the worst, and be pleasantly surprised when they get to us before then.

I got the left hand cannon with my Crusader. What I want is the nova cannon and both claws. Didnt have the funds to pledge for them, was simply wondering when they would be available.

Understood. I'm expecting them to hit backers and retailers at approximately the same time, just like Wave 1 did, but effectively there is no firm ETA on any of it anymore. I'm personally expecting W2 in 3-6 months from now, and W3 5-9 months after that. My best-case-hope scenario is that it all arrives before Christmas, but I'm no longer expecting that it'll actually happen by then.

Wave 2 is where most of my goodies come in. This wait is killing me, but what can you do?

Ugh, I really hope Wave 3 arrives in 2013. If you could impress the psychological importance of that on the factory, Mark, it'd be appreciated...

Based on update 97, I'm still expecting some pics soon. Both the mini Crusader and the full sized Mortis ought to be fully tooled based on the time passed between then and now. Arm weapons shouldn't take long to get tooled up, given that the gun arms are much simpler to work out than something like the articulations of the claw hands and scythe.

I hope so, at least.

No need to impress it upon me.... I am disappointed that thing have slipped as far as they have. I truly wish this was in my control, it is not. If you think I have not been trying to get caught up all the way through stage 2 you would be mistaken... I quite honestly have been loosing sleep worrying about this very issue.

I can appreciate the position of the manufacturer, they need to continue to take new work to keep the doors open and there were some happenings unrelated to DFG that pushed all their production back a few weeks. I can tell you that they have been working very hard on improving their capacity, but I am answerable to all of you and it is my reputation on the line, this is not a fun situation to be placed in.

Mark, if the quality of wave 2 and 3 stays as high as it was for wave 1, a heck of a lot can be overlooked in the area of delays. I feel for the people who only pledged for those later items, as they don't have wave 1 stuff to work on as they wait, but I'm confident that they'll be thrilled with the final product. Since you're here, though, any updates from the factory? Did the minor Mortis issues with the head and claw get fully worked out? How about the changes to tooling for the mini Crusader? Have they started tooling on the other gun arms?

I'm only in a rush for wave 2 to make sure the mini leviathan is suitable for my nefarious deeds so I can order more and get some alternate bits modeled and off to the 3d printers. I fully expect the quality to be excellent like the first wave and wouldn't want any rushing altering that, though I have confidence that quality is one thing you have no intention of sacrificing. Though it is nice to have you check in occassionally to let us know all is well even if there haven't be any major developments.

Yeah, I personally have 4 gun arms in Wave 2. That'll take all of a weekend to assemble and a week to paint.

Maybe I can convince my children-stricken friends to let me assemble their stuff for them... muahahahah.

Or focus on my courses. It's a toss-up.

Seeing these guys painted up by skilled artists really make me feel good about the future of this product. I only went in for the one Knight and I'm happy with it but I'm also looking forward to see what's next from these guys.

I could only pack two of those into my pledges, and one is going to get the "Zeus" conversion. I know already that once wave 3 starts getting near, I have to save up for some more APCs, via retail.

Wave 3 is what I'm looking forward to: 9 APCs, 3 Zeuses, 3 APCs with rocket pods, and a bunch of Valkyr.

Project Update #98: The Leviathan Mortis is now in production!

The Leviathan Mortis is now production ready! This was actually the first of the new generation of Leviathan I designed... I still have a soft spot for the Mortis.

Unlike the old resin kits the fingers and scythe will remain completely poseable.We even fixed some of the issues discovered on the Crusader, namely the waist hydraulics will now stay in place without slipping out from their sockets on the underside of the torso.

As I receive pictures or news on the other models that will be delivered in stage 2 I will post them here first.

It’s been a long time coming, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
