I was hoping we would make some of our lost time up from stage 1 but it appears we will not…. I have seen the Mortis in its component parts but I am waiting on shots of an assembled Mortis from China. The 15mm Crusader is basically completed, I just need to rework the instructions and complete the box art. The other weapon arms are moving right along and I have been told they will be ready soon.

As I get shots of the plastic for stage 2 I will post an update and pics here as well.

+1 - A lot of kickstarters seem to neglect the KS update after the project has finished, but it's a really good way of getting info out in a way that everyone will see.

Update #97 said the same thing I posted on my blog... although not verbatim. When I have anything concrete or pics, rest assured it will hit the KS updated first.

It has been a loooong time since the last update. We are not quite at the point that they have given me box dimensions for box art but I know we are getting close

The 15mm scale Crusader is nearly done in tooling. They had it completed but wanted to make a few small tweaks to accommodate the small part size and wall thickness

The Mortis is in the final tooling stage now. The head and claw hand was more difficult than anticipated but I just signed off on the final parts for that so just a few days on the CnC and they will be sending me some shots of an assembled model.

The other weapon arms have not gone to tooling yet but are fairly straight forward as far as tooling goes. I hope to see some finals on these soon.

I just wanted to say thank you for being so patient and that I hope to be posting some pics over the next week or so.

By the way, Mark, can you confirm if the 15mm Mortis are Wave 2 or 3, because my old pledge manager mentions them as wave 3, but the blog mentions them as wave 2?

The 28mm scale Mortis is stage 2 the 15mm scale is stage 3.

Nice work guys, inspirational for sure. Great timing as well, as I just spent last Sunday (finally) assembling my Crusader. Im trying to decide on a final pose before I glue it to the base, then primer and paint.

Still, looking forwards to Protectorate stuff being made!

Run out of ammo? grind them under my treads!!!! Of course if they are massive grav tanks, then crush the enemy under my grav fields!

The thought of a massive grav IS or KV bouncing shells off it's hide as it zeroes it's guns in with an APC or 2 of the PPsH energy weapon armed troopers they showed to guard it's back thrills me. And yes, Tanks are my babies!

Honestly, I just need it in 2013... but if you could impress upon the factory the importance of that, I do believe at the pace we're at Stage 3 would be the very end of the year. But keeping it in 2013 is a very important mental break for most of us, I think

Darn, that's the third kickstarter I've gone in heavy on that I received news about delays today... and those are the only 3 which I have spent so much on! I know it is unavoidable, I just wish I had some good news. Concept art, a box cover, anything throw me a bone here!

My FLGS has one of the Leviathans sitting in stock. It's a temptation every time I go there. If only I had a use for one.

It seems unfair to match it against my Freebooter Pirates or Super Dungeon Explore minis ...

Having played SDE, it can't be any more unfair than the current bosses.

Me: I see you don't have any Dreamforge minis in stock anymore, they sold well, eh?
Them: Yes, they fly off the shelves.

Some people, for whatever reason, go out of their way to make it difficult to give them money. Why these people own businesses, I just don't know.

i wonder if they dont want to stock them because they arent a stand alone game? But to the above posters point. If I come to your store with handfuls of money to give you...why not make it easy for me to give you my money.

My local FLGS would potentially stock some of these, but I've just looked up Mark's website to try and find some kind of "retailer contact" to pass on, but the DFG webpages are simply overdesigned, somewhat broken and generally awful. The contact page doesn't even work

My FLGS guy is a nice bloke generally, but he's not going to spend 30 minutes digging around trying to find a working contact method for what it at this stage still an obscure producer on the other side of the world with product that may or may not sell in his store. I think it would, and I think he'd likely give a small punt on it, but there's no guarantees in retail...

I must agree... my site is borked. Its on the list of thing to fix. Wargames Factory is handling my distribution.... http://www.wargamesfactory.com/trade.htm
They are also readily available from all the major wholesalers 99% of the FLGS use......

The reason I have not fixed the site or stocked my own kits is because I want to get over the KS hump before dealing with the day to day shipping, etc.

Priorities:
Complete KS
Fix Website
Start game development while completing opposing force
Wait until production is ready... Molds cut, game completed, instructions done before approaching any thought of a second KS. With all the delays and issues I do NOT want to be in the same boat I am now while trying to launch another KS.

I would direct him to WGF... the terms they offer are good and they have a full retailer image kit. Good call on the link... I will get that done ASAP.

Mark is in a great and yet awkward position, hes got an amazing product that the community is foaming at the mouth for but the poor guy is trying to do things the right way and get his kickstarter sorted out and put down a solid foundation to grow from. I'm very happy with the choices hes made.
