So, interim releases, what sort of things are you looking at Mark? Can I suggest that you make the Shadokesh infantry a non kickstarter release? I think such a move would encourage people to back some of the larger kits, as well as giving people an opportunity to getting gaming using just Dreamforge kits.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you take as long as you thinks necessary and do what ever you feel you need to do. If I had appropriate 'In Mark We Trust' picture I'd stick it here, but I don't.

But if I were to make one suggestion... it'd be for the Commonwealth to be next after Shadokesh. Or even to be a candidate for those in-between releases. Pretty please?

Quality stuff. Very fair pricing. Regular, good communication with the public on project progress.

I actually appreciate a company that takes its time and produces quality stuff in hard plastic/styrene. I've picked up multiple boxes of the infantry and plan on picking up other vehicles and troops that are in the pipeline.

I'll play a civil war btw Eisenkern troops easily enough. Gives me time to paint stuff to a higher standard than my usual tabletop splash/dash.

I can't wait for Shadokesh Levis to start showing. I have a feeling they're going to panic the crap out of GW.

How about making one of the other walkers slightly taller so it's the same as the warhound and a 15mm to match the knights. I mean you have a $100. Wiggle room between your 15mm leviathan and the knight in pricing and by the time yours hits the market you'll have a $200.00 price difference between those same models.

All that quality check and controls, to get higher standards at abordable prices...

I hear you... but my experience so far is that multi pose present design limitations. the direction of pull is a major issue when doing multi part minis. I think Mr Poots KD Phoenix is a great example, it is simply not possible to get that kind of detail from a posable mini, the engineers become limited by the parting points you provided rather than letting them split the model as needed to preserve the details.

Here is my opinion based on my experience so far with hard tooling:

Posable figure work well for core troops, unclothed mobs are better handled as primarily fixed pose variations... I can go wild with the poses. When I go posable, they tend to be stiff. This works for armored troops, where you can separate the arms, waist head, etc at natural points not ideal for unclothed minis. To get a very dynamic and natural pose in an unarmored mini you really need to fix the pose and allow the engineers to split them up in a manner that makes the most sense for preserving the small details and direction of pull.

If I can provide you 8-10 very dynamic very detailed minis for the Feral and the same kind of multi-pose for the Shadokesh troopers we get the best of both worlds.

GW think similarly I think, as their beastmen for example are combined torso and legs, though I wouldn't call them dynamically posed. I wondered why that was the case given the modularity of most other kits, but what you say does make sense and was probably their reasoning too. Would there be scope for at least posable/optional arms and heads? I'm asking under the assumption that there will be reason to obtain more than 10 or so. Despite my support for Mantic and their much more limited posing, I really do prefer as much modularity as possible. I seem to be the only one arguing hard for it here so I may be in the minority, but I do understand your point and if that's how it has to be, so be it. I may be less likely to buy heaps of them, but if that's all that's required for your game system that's not a problem anyway. It just may limit the usefulness for non-DFG game system use.

Lol I cant say I blame you, but I know how far along we are right now and this was a unvarnished truth " I want to be clear on this point; if left unfettered by my change requests, I am quite confident that we would clear the decks before the end of Q2".

Sure, but if we rewind a year or so, people were hoping for W3 in June 2013 while I was saying Christmas. Given the success of those predictions, not to mention every other kickstarter, it's much safer for everyone if I remain a pessimist at this point as opposed to ever hopeful and ever disappointed...

Reading all of Mark's posts, he has been the most communicative game minis designer! I am happy for decent price and quality and am patient enough to wait for the Hanomags and their variants as well as the Valkyr and Black widows.

I need to track down more IG decals as I am out of the 144 decals for infantry as all my Eisenkerns are labeled 144 so I will use the vehicle scale decals for the hanomags and Crusader.

So far the waiting has been worth it Mark!

Mark any word on the possibility of that coupon? Or hell even reopening the pledge manager before we get closer to completion on Wv3? Site unseen I want a box of Valkir and at least two more squads of Widows.

You would be amazed at the kind of dynamic variation you can get with a combined legs/torso mini.

All of Warlord's WWII Bolt Action models for example use that system to preserve uniform details. I still managed to get a nice variety of running, kneeling, firing, reloading, and at ease poses thanks to varied arms and a way to mount the heads in any direction you wish. Extra bits and equipment like the accessory sprues work well for this also.

If Mark said tomorrow Shadokesh main troops were to have their legs and torsos moulded as one piece (or "halves" that have to meet in a certain way) I wouldn't worry at all. If Warlord and many other historical can pull it off, I think Mark could too. That is, if it makes sense for him to do it that way of course.

I'd rather have that, and a nice selection of arms and heads. Especially if he offers 8 or 10 different bodies. The WGF greatcoats really kill me, because it's three bodies, and only a couple of options for the rifles.

If you look at the Wyrd miniatures out of WGF, some of them are super dynamic, but good luck modifying that pose.It can be done, but you'd better be a master of human proportions and green stuff.

The Wild West Exodus stuff I got from the Kickstarter, which is also made by WGF, is largely dynamically posed combined torso/legs in some form or another. The stuff looks great, but, not having started to assemble it yet, I'm not sure how customizable it all is. Is this how you're thinking of doing your dynamic pose stuff Mark? Mono/dynamic pose, but cut into multiple pieces like the WWX stuff since that's how it needs to be tooled?

Thanks to everyone for the compliments and yes he is Word Bearer ish. I started painting my army without much idea of the fluff and just painted them how I wanted too. After playing a few games people kept saying "oh you play Word Bearers" and so I read up on the fluff and decided I liked them.
I haven't gotten around to actually "Bearering" out my army with text and what not, but I'm not sure I ever actually will.

I salute your limitless budget to create cool and appropriate bases. I feel cheap having mine only squashing a sentinel.

Good news, boys! SWM's board are poised to be out the door. We can finally claim the extra engineering and mould-cutting resources!

I actually thought about doing a sentinel as I have one still in the box, but as I'm going more towards Word Bearer's the ultra marine ish Dread was more appropriate.
And speaking of cheaper basing, my Crusader's base has Chaos cultists running about on it... doesn't get any cheaper than that lol.

Would love to see this^ but I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay that much to base something (even though it would be full of awesome)
