This was one of the crazier Eldar projects I have done!



The most complicated thing was magnetizing all those weapons. The organic nature of the shapes really made it tough! I learned a lot during that process, and it certainly changed my approach. You could see a hint of this with the magnets on the Fiends!

That is very, very nice. Loving that star pattern. It's so Eldar! Why did you decide to paint the windscreen?

That was the request of the buyer. I definitely didn't mind, since there was a ton of extra work with all the additonal weapons!!!

I have mixed feelings on the painted windscreen in terms of personal preference, but your paintjob on it is quite good. Hope the client was pleased with all your hard work.

I hope your client didn't require medical attention when his/her jaw hit the floor

My Armies on Parade Lizardmen showed up in the WD without my knowing. If a few people hadn't told me, I never would have known I had gotten that 2 page spread!

Fantastic stuff, Really like the "space side", the adding of the yin yang is a bit annoying, very out of place imo.

Wow, that is just a stunning paintjob! I'd be so nervous about transporting and playing with models painted to that level, lol!

I have done a few Eldar vehicles (fire prisms, etc), and they were all $650. Hundreds of hours go into these, obviously

It's always easier doing one of these the second time around!

Ok, my previous comment about being nervous playing & transporting something like this just turned into actual fear,

And I thought my paint job was ok. Yours puts mine to shame, and it should. One of the best I've ever seen! I would expect that to do well in a golden daemon or something so its a pity that your selling it. Lucky guy (or girl) whoever gets it.

Agreed, I think if I had produced something half as nice as this and the customer asked if it was finished, my reply would probably be something like "no, sorry, I've...er...lost it..."

The yin/yang was a lot more prominent in 2nd ed-era Eldar art and iconography. Nowadays it does look a bit out of place, as I think GW's a bit more careful about using clear real-world icons like that in such a direct way. That said, it does pleasantly remind me of 2nd ed-style Eldar stuff, only taken way over the top with modern technique and NMM shading and coloring.

incredible work. This model would fit perfectly in the old 2nd/3rd edition eldar....back when the models were done in vivd colors. Exceptional design and hand painted work....great model!
