Almost fainted when I got the email this morning. So glad I pledged for the slender man. He might be the best model I've ever seen, from any company. Also, I certainly hope that armor set booster packs will be available in the future, especially if they all look as nice as the lantern armor!

Personally the best part of the update to me is "US based board-printer".

Anyone who pledged on Sedition Wars knows how disappointing thin boards can be.

Thin boards had nothing to do with it. The problem was that they didn't sit In the humidity controlled storage room while they dried.

Just realised that I hadn't finalised my pledge yet after getting Anna to open it up again. Hopefully that's not an issue...

I really want to go all in...but I have no idea when I will ever be able to play the base game let alone all the expansions.

I too would gladly pay for an actual art book. Especially if it ends up having stuff that doesn't actually make it into the game either, like concepts and early sketches.

Or I'd just take Marasai's.

That lantern armor gives me a Berserk vibe more than Monster Hunter. Maybe the female on is more MonHun style, but the male one totally reminds me of armor from the Golden Age of the Hawks. Especially with Guts' Dragon Slayer over his shoulder.

Maybe Poots is slowly siphoning away Miura's awesomeness since all Miura wants to do is sit around and play Idol Master?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Hector Moran posted a tutorial of sorts on his DeviantArt page. It's an interesting look at some of the work that goes into a KD miniature.

Might not be considered work safe. I 'unno.

Thanks for sharing that Dentry! Really interesting and Allison is looking great as well.

Great link! I am so far from having time to learn 3D sculpting it isn't even funny, but that sort of thing is still terribly interesting!

small snippet from the KS comments

Creator Kingdom Death about 11 hours ago

@num, Savior Super mode will not work in monster. The rapid aging is a feature of her extended character in the next Kingdom Death game, which focuses on the "hero" level humans, instead of the normal ones in KD:M.

So the Saviors are part of KD:Heroes and presumably will appear in plastic then (all things going to plan let's not get ahead of ourselves )

Already posted in the other thread, but updating here as well.

Update #75 (Aug 5th)
Schedule & Plastic Manufacturing Update
Nothing new to report on plastic manufacturing yet. Still collecting samples so I can have a nice little show and tell for an update. Initially I was planning for this to be mid august, but it might slip to end of august. In september I will be pulling the trigger on production, so if we are facing any delays I will know by then.

Shipping Update
So far we have sat down in meetings with, USPS, DHL and Fedex. Things are looking much brighter there then I had anticipated. Fedex offers a service that we are currently discussing in greater detail, wherein packages would be picked up and then shipped from a single international point of origin [via comments: It would be EU based, as the majority if international backers are in the EU]. What customs taxes people can expect from shipping within Europe using this method still remains to be seen but it's a promising option. The suit & tie fedex reps, were not prepared for our warehouse and the hoards of tiny men that presented them. They kept talking about how different it was for them.

Game Dev Update
After much agonizing, we decided on the final dimensions of the game book. It will be 11"x8.5" landscape format. There were many design considerations that went into this, but here are the ones that really matter to us. Wide format art looks way more awesome! By going landscape we make the book a little easier to fit on a busy table with lots of gaming pieces. Finally, for future online content we really wanted consistent look and feel to be possible from anyone's home printer.

No idea on prices, but probably standard KD 'human' cost so around $25 each

Note you'd need to get in fast to get them as they only have 25 of each at the show, first come first served (hopefully nobody will be allowed to buy 10 of each!)

Adam has now posted that they will be up in the KD store later (probably a week or so after Gencon) if you/your friend misses them

Other than the deserter, nothing interested me either. although if the rumours of a final stock of Forsakers turns out to be true, then I will be all over that! Webstroe is having major problems so we can't say what is actually available right now

Do these new miniatures have a place and/or rules in the upcoming KD: M game too?

No only the Dung Beetle knight will feature in KD:M the others twilight knights and saviours are more likely to feature in the second game which is going to be hero based. there are no game rules for them. That's why I'm not buying the resins I'll take my chances on them appearing later in plastic with game rules for them. I even passed up on illuminated lady for the same reason as apparently she is only part of a larger monster

The Dung Bettle on offer here won't have any of the KD:M rules included with it.

Apparently there is a big problem with the webstrore today, but if you use the mobile store you can get access to all the minis, including the forsaker! got mine that way, very happy!

Ah so Adam ended up going forward with it after all. Was hoping we'd have shots of the models in the plastic he ended up going with by now.

That begs the question if we'll see these new models (and other existing figures) make an appearance in any future Kickstarter Adam might have for Kingdom Death: Heroes. Probably.
