Managed to snag one of the last White Knights for myself this morning.

An impulse buy, sure... but it really struck a chord with me. Looks to be a treat to paint!

Missed the White Knight myself, but thankfully I did get an Archivist. Always really liked that model.

Nice looking, but I think I'll wait for plastics to be honest. Probably won't all see plastic, but I'm not a completionist with KD luckily. That way madness lies.

As an aside, this raft seems like prototypes for KDM expansions as well as minis for the second game after monster, the name of which escapes me.

Wait, what, there is a second game coming after Monster?

There is!

The focus there will on more 'heroic types' and not weedly survivors trying to...survive.

At least, I think that was the proposal - way back when!

The hunters came with the lantern festival, which came with the king, which came with the scribe, which came with the twilight cloak armor, which came with...

well probably lots of other stuff at this point. But yes, they're in the game.

Also- Gorm armor has lots of tools to play with it seems.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Was tempted to pick up the White Knight and the restock of the Storm Knight. Succeeded in heeding my wallet.

Will not be so lucky in the future. Though I do like how they are fleshing out their character types, making various knights and a rogue game hunter leaves room for a lot of variation in model types.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

It's the first time KD has done one so I don't know,

but considering how fast their stuff sells out I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new one next year rather than a re-release of this one (I guess it will depend if there are any left over)

The Halloween Twilight Knight sold out fast, I expect that Adam will make it available again within 24 hours as a pre-order; it does state that it will be available for the Halloween weekend after all. Personally I wasn't a fan, despite my weakness for chunky thighs.

I will probably pick up the three Visionaries, the fluff is very Griffith-from-Berserk plus I am very much a JAG sculpt collector.

He did indeed do that:

Our initial units have all sold out. We will take back orders until Halloween Weekend is over. We estimate an additional 2-3 week delay on orders with a backorder Halloween special. Thank you for understanding!

Twitter beat you by four minutes Orlando.

Honestly it's getting to the point I don't know what I bought anymore- he just keeps putting out so much stuff. I waded through my KD boxes and found a model I had forgotten he even MADE.

I'd love to take advantage of the 20 & 40 Year Saviours, but alas my Arena Rex KS shipment looks to be sitting in customs so I have to save my pennies to rescue it when the send me a bill

That must suck. :( Arena Rex has been delayed a while hasn't it? I was tempted to get in on it, but kinda glad I didn't. Do you have to pay customs for KD stuff?

Usually,

I do use the services the 20% tax pays for so I can't complain too much,

but you also have to pay the postal service a ridiculous fee for collecting the tax (about $15) which I really resent having to pay

so a single KD mini at $25 can cost me an extra $5 plus $15 fee = $50

(big orders like my Arena Rex are less painful as the collection fee is a smaller proportion of the whole even though it costs me more overall)

Don't complain, if I had to pay only 20$ in the companies fees (instead of a the usual 80+ euro) I would be happy.

I am going to have to pay a little over $220 plus fees in tax when KD ships. It's not these never ending delays that really piss me off, it's the fact that this wasn't even mentioned when pledging, AND the fact that there was a Euro specific postage that I have paid for which should have covered such eventualities. But clearly not.

In Adams defence he did state that it was "Extramely Likely" that this would be shipped from within America, you should really have been aware that things shipped from outside the EU incur import taxes.

The EU shipping options is what you pay to Kingdom Death to ship it - it is entirely the EU government who take the Import tax and Adam couldn't pay this even if he wanted to (not that I'm saying he should, but it is my understanding that you cannot volunteer to pay the tax when shipping from outside the EU to inside it even if you want to).

Indeed, as a UK citizen (or any EU citizen) you should know that paying VAT is your responsibility when importing goods into the UK/EU from outside the EU. I've not yet seen any company that ships directly to the consumer from outside the EU be able to pay VAT (if they wanted to).

You can't blame Adam for your ignorance. As far as I know, US parties are not required to remind you about paying your VAT. US parties generally overlook this anyway, because they generally don't have prices listed with VAT, if there's VAT, that's added separately (as far as I know).

I know your pain though, I'm also going to have some big VAT bills when certain projects arrive (Reaper Bones, Kingdom of Death, etc.). My biggest problem with the VAT isn't that I have to pay it (that's the price you pay for living in a welfare state), but that I have to pay it in cash at the door, exactly. With no idea how much it is exactly or when the are delivering it exactly.

$220 in VAT means that you've got a $1000+ pledge... Do I need to say more ;-)

Is VAT standard for all EU countries at a certain percentage? Or does that % differ per country?

Think it differs per country. In the UK we pay 20% VAT. Though it has changed a few times since 2008. From 17.5% to 15% and then up to 20%
