I've been refreshing seeing Black Friday lantern pledges for $185 opening up, but they're no good for me.. I need the full game. Holding out hoping for one of the $300 BF pledges to open up

Vibrant Lantern guy was feeling under-appreciated and said he was going to take his ball and go home, but people made amends and everything is back to normal for now.

So, no chance of proper instructions then?

Glad everything worked out for Vibrant Lantern. I've been reading the background on their site and can't wait for them to flesh out the rest of the old stuff and start adding new stuff.

I'm on the fence about the Gambler's chest as well, and whether the Dragon King xpac is worth it. Good discount now but with my (lack of) play-time I doubt I'd get through a campaign before he has a site sale.

Managed to snag a Black Friday gold lantern Afraid I can't afford to add on anything else.. I was gonna go for the regular $250 pledge but this made it just $50 more for the gambler's chest rather than $100.

That's a lot of stuff in one expansion. I wish we'd get previews of some of the sculpts.

But it has that jungle queen lotus creature. Sold.

Might have to reconsider getting Satan because of this.

Only he's screwed if he cancels anything this time because of the all-in pledge levels. If he had to refund an incomplete expansion at the KS prices to 4000 people who were only paying 60-70% of that...

Who says he has to give any refund to those people? In fact, what's to stop him from saying the expansion grew bigger than he expected, so he's charging everyone that gets it an additional fee? Or just padding their shipping charges to make up the difference?

I was thinking the same, but I'm not sure there will be much demand for the narrative miniatures in the Gambler's Chest. I think anyone interested in narrative sculpts is going to get it themselves. I guess there might be some people that only want one or two of the sculpts, but not enough of them to justify buying the whole thing. I just don't think I'd get around to selling them out one by one on ebay. I'd just decide it wasn't worth the time and they'd all just sit in my closet for years.

I'm sure I'd buy a few of the figures when they release. Right now, though, there are far too many "can't miss" expansions for me to even consider the Gamblor's Chest.

I'm sure I'd buy a few duplicates if the price was right online.

At the very least they've got cool bases, and it might be fun to see what kind of conversions could be had with them.

Especially if how they're designed ends up somewhat compatible with the armor kits.

How many gambler's chest reveals are left? Two?

I suppose I'll just leave it off for now. If we are allowed to add stuff in the pledge manager, hopefully more will be known about the rules in the Gambler's Chest and I'll have a better idea of whether or not I even want the advanced rules. Or maybe there will be something in the last few reveals that makes it must-have for me.

Unless noted otherwise all pledge levels that say include all new expansions include all new expansions, so yes 777$ and up include this thing.

On my part I am overjoyed since the sparrow king sculpt is the single sculpt I really do not like from the entire line but everything else in this expansion is what I really wanted to see.

Was this the last official expansion? Is he done revealing stuff finally? Or should I worry (hope?) that there's still more to come?

there are 2 slots on the 1.5 to be revealed and 4 slots on gamblers chest iirc, other than that I do not know if he has anything else under his sleeve.

We wait the 24h mark to see a new update, but its an expectation rather than something announced.

Dear God... my "all things gameplay" pledge, just meant I topped up to $1800.

My wife is being super supportive(enabling), but that is a terrifying amount of money, and I can't believe we're entertaining it. We can afford it, have no kids, no debts, etc... but some part of me just feels sick over it as a lump-sum payment. :-p

Our ONLY justification right now, is that spread across 3-ish years of releases, and with tons of replay... its actually not that crazy. One less couples "date night" per month over that span of time, playing this instead of a movie and cheap dinner... and its actually paid for.

Man... i'm so torn. I wish I knew how all the content integrated better though. There's now so much KD content, spread across.... what... eight custom campaigns, all of which use different components at a time, etc?

I wish the campaign book add-on covered new stuff too, and not just the old expansions.

The Campaigns of Death is going to be as much, if not more, guidelines and advice for crafting custom campaigns - the 3 included campaigns are explicitly examples of the broader systems and ideas at work.

Pretty much. Poots has never included instructions for his models so we rely on each other for tips and hints.

SO glad I kept my pledge now. The amount of value in a gamblers lantern is ridiculous with a final expansion still possible to be revealed.

I'm very tempted to get the Pathfinder crossover now though as I enjoy the Pathfinder ACG.

I need to add up stuff my BF Gambler's 2nd Face doesn't cover and change my pledge amount before the end. I'm just waiting to see if there's anything else coming that my pledge won't cover.

That's why I dropped. If I wanted in, it would have to be all-in, and I couldn't sleep comfortably knowing I dropped that much on a game I'd never played before.

I also compared it to what else I could buy with that money and... yeah... I was out...

As much as it might fit thematically to play KD with yourself, is it a game that lends itself to solo play at all?
