I have a good sized force of dark angels and am now ready to try something new. I thought it would be cool to collect the arch-nemesis of the dark angels if they have one. now I know the fluff says that they're bent on finding the fallen but that's not really an organized force, they're just random marines stuck in chaos warbands. I would like a definite army that could be considered the perfect enemy to fight the DA fluff-wise. Is there a particular chaos legion that hates them or maybe a certain eldar craftworld or ork warband? named characters that I could build an army around? stuff like that. Thanks for any input.

Space wolves are their nemesis, followed by the inquisition as well as chaos. Though if you wanted to do a fallen force, most people wouldn't bat an eye.

And, of course, no one likes the nids, and the Da have attacked and wiped out a black templar company.

I wouldn't call the DA's thing with the SW a nemesis kind of thing, that's more like sibling rivalry.

Nids are a good choice because they are part of the reason why the Deathwing wear white armour.

An undivided Chaos warband led by an "inner circle" of fallen is another good way to go.

Another option if you go with chaos marines would be Night Lords. On top of looking wicked awesome, the DA still aren't too happy with them for the events of the Hours Heresy.

the night lords chaos legion. they have a long history of hate for each other dating back to the heresy when kurze tried to convert, and then destroy Johnson and his legion at the behest of Horus

yah i agree on the Night Lords. Curze screwed with the Lion pretty well during the heresy. plus who wouldnt want to build a army whose father was Emo Batman.

There is only the Emperor! He is our shield and protector.

According to the new DA codec Alpha Legion has also been working against DA numorous times and often together with the Fallen.

But yeah, Nids are a great choice too. DA have lost several marines (and an entire recruitment planet) to them.

OK, Space Wolves are not working against Dark Angels. That little rivalry isn't that major.

I'll probably say anything that isn't Imperial is a nemesis. Just collect CSM.

Night Lords are a good choice.

Orks are not bad either, Ghazghkuull nearly ripped Belial in fething half on Piscina IV, and the Dark Angels sullied his efforts there. I doubt either have forgotten the slights paid to one another (Well okay, maybe Ghaz has. )

Thanks for the comments everyone. I would have never thought of night lords. However a piscina irk war band might be a neat idea too. I'll have to think about it.

Fallen are their actual arch-nemesis. You can make a Fallen army where CSM represent a warband of Fallen supported by large numbers of cultists.

More 'Stealers than 'Nids, I'd have thought.

I think a fallen army would be too redundant of the DA I have now.
