I am also waiting for the first renders from Bauhaus, so that I may increase my pledge.

Soon we need to hit £40k to make it happen

Cheers! I go to increase my pledge to help make it happen

Since I am a newbie in Kickstarter, may I ask how I incorporate the add-ons to my pledge? Every time I try to do it, I get a message saying that my pledge has been increased, but my reward remains the same.

Any ideas?

Talking of increasing your pledge they've just put up prices for the t-shirt and custom KR case (Aquilla 5 I think) if you want to add one (or more) of either to your pledge. £25 for the case and £11 for the t-shirt.

Well done Prodos that's an extra £25 from me.

EDIT: praetor24 they'll send a survey out after the kickstarter ends allowing you to select what you want.

Card rules that you presented on your forum should be redesigned. Card can be used for determining battlefield conditions (fog, sandstorm, airstrike) but not for equiping soldiers. I think it is to random. Card effects should be limited.

I agree.
I will also repeat my request about any Mishima info. I can understand that main effort about miniatures goes for kickstarter armies but you should not neglect fans of other factions. At least give us some concept sketches or tell us which units from older editions will be used etc.

What is random, as per video, you must spend your resources for this, If you spend on squad upgrades you won't have more for other strategy or whatever cards...
Looks like you must be careful how you play with your resources... if you need a quick boost you drop the strategy/whatever called, if not you spend on other stuff, upgrades.

We need more info like, minimum qty of cards in your deck, qty of same type ect before I judge..

But if its same as MtG so lest say 5 of the same cards in you deck, then chances of getting card you want are huge.

Seen the vid again, the Gear card - expensive but stays with squad, strategy card - cheap bonus for one round, as along as the "cost" is right there is no problem whatsoever.
Also this Gear card he bonded to squad was +2 to Armour, so if we talking D20 system is only 10% boost ? not a big deal in compare that for the same cost you could have +6" to range for one round (2x this range increase something)
I like that! they are working on balance!

Waiting for more info about card system!!!!!!

Also if you where "pledging" this you would know that:

From kicstarter page:

Robert Howard: regarding Mishima and Imperial, we are working on concepts "

All those updates should be front and centre on the main page of your Kickstarter. Hiding those in the updates section is asking for people to miss the info.

Not to mention you have more updates in 3 days than most kickstarters get in two weeks. That on in itself is worth showing to those who haven't pledged yet.

I totally agree that the updates need to be put onto the front page. I thought I read somewhere though that there were image and text limits for the front page so that new updates need to be made as images or something like that. I could totally be making that up though, lol.

A big yay to Prodos this far, and thank you for listening to the fanbase. Keep the stuff coming and we will unlock the other corps in no time!

Hey, Prodos! Could we please see some scale comparison shots soon? 28mm is one thing on paper and a different thing in reality. It would be neat to see how the models scale next to old WZ models, and even models from GW and other manufacturers.

Is there a good site to go to for an overview of the Mutant Chronicles game world?

I got into 40K at the start of 2E, and never really encountered Warzone at all here in my section of the US.

Mutantpedia is the way to go. All of the legacy material is up there (and it is all cool as far as permissions go, as far as I know; the thing has been up for nearly a decade and gets posted to MC/WZ threads all the time). The Warzone and Mutant Chronicles section should have all of the books (up to and including the last proper edition of Warzone, called Ultimate Warzone).

Hi there, thanks for feedbacks, unfortunately we cannot add more pictures just with generic "updates" due to page weight and loading time ect., however there is tab "updates" where everybody can see what is new. Saying that, I'll keep you informed as much as possible here and at our Facebook.

Yes, plans are to work on more, but it depends on how Kickstarter goes, that's why we set stretch goals, however our plans are to have starter box sets + 2/3 units for every Corp and Apostles in 12 to 18 months.

Lots to see there - not sure what's best for 'background'.

Wikipedia helped out with this:

Story

The game takes place in a distant future where the Earth has long since been depleted of natural resources and abandoned. Humanity has spread to the worlds of Venus, Mars, Mercury, Luna (the first settlement following the exodus from Earth), and the Asteroid Belt.

Since the exodus from Earth the traditional nation-states of the world have merged into five huge megacorporations: Bauhaus, styled after the culture of continental Europe, the American-influenced Capitol, the Japanese-themed Mishima, the British-inspired Imperial, and the ultra-secretive, ambiguous , high-tech wielding Cybertronic, all of whom use private military forces to fight for resources. Luna (the Moon) itself is considered to be neutral ground and is home to the massive city-state known as Luna City. The other major power of this universe is the Brotherhood, a fanatical religious organization formed to meet the threat of the Dark Legion, an ancient evil comprising five "Dark Apostles" and their horde of hideous mutants and undead. The Dark Legion is the corporeal presentation of Dark Symmetry and minions of the Dark Apostles. The Dark Legion commands the most powerful armies of the solar system, including Legionnaires, resurrected corpses of fallen Megacorp heroes and footsoldiers alike; Necromutants, hideously modified humanoids; Centurions, the lethal lieutenants of the Dark Legion; and Nepharites, fearsome, towering behemoths of unimaginable power.

The reign of the Dark Legion began as mankind set foot on Nero, a fictional tenth planet beyond the orbit of Pluto, where they discovered a citadel. As they entered, the Imperial Conquistadors – a group of interplanetary explorers – accidentally broke the First Seal Of Repulsion, a thin ring of salt spread around the citadel. Inside, a mysterious iron plate was found, and as it was touched, the Dark Legion was brought to our dimension, and along with it, the Dark Symmetry.

The Dark Symmetry prevents computers, "thinking engines", and other electronic devices from functioning reliably, if at all, and initially caused complete chaos, and then a forced adaptation of the technology used by mankind. The Dark Symmetry also begins to spread plague, lies, illusions and war on the human population through Dark Apostles known as Demnogonis, Semai, Muawihje, Algeroth and Ilian, The Dark Mistress and most powerful wielder of The Dark Symmetry. Thus the first Corporate wars began. Only through the Brotherhood and its first Cardinal, Nathaniel Durand were the corporations pulled under one banner, driving back the Dark Legion and Dark Symmetry back to the void where it came. This however cost Nathaniel Durand his life as he fought and defeated Algeroth, the field commander of all of the Dark Legion and the master of Dark Technology. Dark Legion resurfaces as a milennia passes, old edicts to keep the evil at bay are broken and Megacorps begin the 2nd Corporate wars. Yet again Nero is explored and Dark Symmetry is unleashed. It was also during the period of 1000-year peace that Cybertronic surfaced and was first to break one of the edicts; Human must not create or use machines that think like man.

Just get the first edition WZ rulebook if you want a relatively short version of the background.

The Mutant Chronicles RPG is probably the best background source (1st or 2nd Edition of the RPG work fine for that). And 1st Edition of the RPG managed to publish a sourcebook for each major faction (outside the Cartel and several Dark Legion sub-factions). The 1st Edition Warzone core is also a pretty good start (with a short run-down on the main factions and overall setting). 2nd Edition Warzone change a lot of setting material (near complete re-writes in some areas) but a lot of people prefer to ignore a lot of 2nd Edition Warzone stuff (Ultimate Warzone mixed some of it in, but mostly went back to 1st Edition and Mutant Chronicles as sources).

But for me, the RPG is the closest to the "real" source with 1st Edition Warzone stuff being quite close to it. I'd pop open the RPG and run through the background section, should give you a good intro.

The Dark Eden sourcebook for 1st Edition Warzone is also pretty neat (though I hope some of the more problematic elements in it are toned down, personally; Crescentians can seem a bit stereotypical, especially these days; most of the factions for Dark Eden could use some tweaking in terms of background/style, just enough to take them down a bit from charicature-status). It was only ever outlined for the 1st Edition of Warzone (and later Ultimate, which mostly just replicated it without adding much new stuff), the RPG never got around to it.

It's a really fun setting with a few elements that parody 40k while still managing to be its own beast. I always describe it as pulpy-dieselpunk horror IN SPAAAAACE with elements of Cyberpunk (megacorps) and planetary romance stuff thrown in. It is a setting that bleeds 2000AD/Heavy Metal Magazine style (it helps that several of the artists for those properties helped shape the aesthetics).

I'll be interested to see what kind of background mix Prodos go for. So far they seem to be favouring going back to basics with so many of the units displayed so far being recreations of 1st Edition/Mutant Chronicles stuff. I kind of hope they run with that, as I always liked to older background material (though keeping things like Vulkan battlesuits is appreciated, 2nd Edition had some stellar new unit concepts).

I loved WZ 1st edition the gaming universe fluff was solid. The game had an efficient rule set when 2nd edition 40k was unnecessarily complicated.

Sweet! I never understood the last MC wave, where the movie, FFG:s game and COG:s failed RPG all had different fluff at the same time. Hopefully this time the fluff will be tightly integrated between MC and WZ.

This description did put a smile on my face, and it's really on-the-spot (I've never heard the term dieselpunk before though, but I love it)!

It will be interesting to see, I do hope they keep the bulk of 1st ed rpg & WZ fluff though!
