Love the new Diana. Much better!

Sad it was Mishima instead of Imperial but it was probably the right choice. Samurai will probably bring in more money than Brits.

I agree with you, Miguelsan, a mixed doomtrooper scheme would have been great. If they were hard set on rolling out another megacorp, I think Imperial has a bigger following, doesn't it?

Is this the Great Gray?

If so... I hope they're doing something else!

Properly done peoples volunteers or Imperial (both heavily using the old concept art) is the only way I'm going to pledge.

They could always have the natural compliment to the Grizzly and do up a similarly sized AFV 114 Montana. Not much art of that one, so they can go wild with the look.

Or one of the attack helicopters like the H-7 Shrike or H-5 Thunderbolt.

I think any of those choices would make for a good super-heavy.

The first of the £90k Stretched Goals: The Capitol MegaCorporation's Martian Banshees. The other four units will be released each day from tomorrow.

And Mitch and his dog, Pride are released.

Lets make a quit count, even if we get to 95k goal (120k is juts to far to count it just yet), Bauhaus will have 4 units, Brotherhood 4 units, Cybertronic will have 5 units, and Capitol will have 2 hmmmm even with 120k goal, the one additionl unit will not bring back Capitol to par with other factions. Anyway, I am happy with what we Capitolians get anyway

Fortunately for all Capitol lovers there is something better and Prodos probably will surprise us with a nice desing if the new Eggdroid redesign is to be taken as an example.

Does anyone have a list or good link to Capitol Hardware. Someone mentioned a helicopter like vehicle but I missed the name. The orca and great grey need MAJOR overhauls if they are the Capitol vehicle, but I was hoping for the "Apache" equivalent someone mentioned.

Thanks!!

Yah, not big on it either.

Luckily it looks easy enough to just not stick it on and pretend we never set eyes on it.
XP

mini looks fine with out it.

it is called AH/UH-64 Grapeshot/Guardian multirole helicopter, it is shown in the 1st ed rulebook on page 67. I think it is way too big to be featured in the game. In the 1st ed Capitol had special rule helicopter deployment that allows to deploy your squads anywhere on the board except your enemy's deployment zone. The drawback to that was a possibility of getting the helicopter shot down by the enemy. The same helicopter was also used to launch air stikes (the second special rule for the Capitol forces).

Speaking of Capitol am I the only one who would wish there was an Orca included and not two sharks?

Its a no buy for me if I do not get a confirmation the backpack is not molded on the torso.

If there was an Orca included instead of the sharks the starter would be identical to the Bauhaus starter. The two sharks was the right way to go to for the starter to make i different, Orcas can come later as stand alone boxes.

And what is bad with that? hero two identical units, big thing all other boxes follow that.

I agree, some diversity straight out of the box is always good. Fast flying units are what Capitol is known for (air force)

Probably that's the case.

Purple Shark is the most emblematic vehicle of Capitol and It's been in the game since the beginning, unlike the Orca walker. I'm glad Prodos decided to go with them in the starter as this gives personality to the faction. Afterall Capitol are known for their air power.

Also keep in mind we don't know what plans have Prodos guys for the vehicle rules of their game. Maybe Purple Sharks are treated like bikes with profiles more similar to infantry in terms of resillience and firepower, therefore becoming far less powerful than they were in the original game.

maybe that's the case indeed, never thought the sharks been iconic to capitol, or seen them been fielded as most regarded them as really bad models.

So Inquisitors are units now and not heroes? Is that 40mm base thing a typo? Inquisitors were always my army commanders, not units.

As a Brotherhood player since 1st edition, this gives me a bit of pause- I'm sure the minis will be gorgeous, but why not Valkyries as the next unit, and do an Inquisitor as a hero instead?

I was sold on Capitol because of the sharks. You have to think, there are plenty of moves being made to draw additional players in, not just cater to older fans, where when you are dealing with nerds, it is extra hard to meet everyones expectations.

Um. Just look at were the backpack sits on the modle. That would be ONE HELL of a under cut to try and do on a mold resin or not.... Just look at were it's sitting in the top left image!

We don't need confirmation that it's a separate bit, because simple logic would dictate that would HAVE to be a separate bit.

Maybe I should have worded it better, been separate without affecting the model without it, from the renders it may slot to the upper shoulders area.

Fair enough. Thow even if that's the case, it would be a simple task to fill/shave off said joint. It's just a smooth lab coat after all, so no odd details or anything one would have to rescuplt.

So I'm sorry if I don't see how the back-pack "ruins" the modle, when it looks easy to opt out of using it.

Even if you insist that this is out of your range of scope, swapping the back pack for some sort of medical bag bit like what the original model had would cover over said joint as well.

Inquisitors were always a multi-level position. Either Prodos is looking to make standard Inquisitors in to a squad (possibly even a unit of heroes like Enhanced Chasseurs and the like were in 1st Edition) while leaving Inquisitor Majores open for hero-level slots, or they have made a three-tier system for Inquisitors (Inquisitor Minors?).

But just because they are in a 3-man team doesn't mean much. And keep in mind that the 40mm base size carries some other mechanical weight with it for close combat purposes (though my guess is they will be pretty bulky and armoured). But there is almost certain to be hero-level Inquisitors, and I like that there may be more of a difference between Inquisitors and Majores outside of simply increased stats. If they aren't looking to have multi-tiered heroes as an assumption, then differentiating Inquisitors and Inquisitor Majores seems like an important step.
