Inquisitors were always a multi-level position. Either Prodos is looking to make standard Inquisitors in to a squad (possibly even a unit of heroes like Enhanced Chasseurs and the like were in 1st Edition) while leaving Inquisitor Majores open for hero-level slots, or they have made a three-tier system for Inquisitors (Inquisitor Minors?).

But just because they are in a 3-man team doesn't mean much. And keep in mind that the 40mm base size carries some other mechanical weight with it for close combat purposes (though my guess is they will be pretty bulky and armoured). But there is almost certain to be hero-level Inquisitors, and I like that there may be more of a difference between Inquisitors and Majores outside of simply increased stats. If they aren't looking to have multi-tiered heroes as an assumption, then differentiating Inquisitors and Inquisitor Majores seems like an important step.

Ronin- All good points that I hadn't thought of. And if I remember right, I think the Bonner of Cardinal Dominic has him surrounded by a bodyguard of Inquisitors (which although cool, was a bit weird considering the background of the Fury Elite). An Inquisitorial Bodyguard for a Keeper or Majoris ? Confess and repent!

IF an individual Inquisitor is BA enough, a 40mm base does make sense. I was also thinking that maybe they'd be on some sort of bike- a new variation on the Death Angel go-cart.

Not a big fan of Dr. Diana. Her back rig seems like a knockoff of the 40k Fabius Bile/Dark Eldar Hæmonculus concept and it integrates with the design quite poorly.

Yeah... I mean, seriously, who would put chainsaws on a scifi universe model! Pffft...

The concept art looks partly updated (especially the legs) but for some reason I feel like they'd look alot better without circular rocket pods. That part evokes the cheesy badly sculpted previous version a bit too much IMO.

I just don't think they particularly fit in with the rest on the cybertronics aesthetic, which I really like.

...and we're losing money again.

I swear, I had a dream where Prodos revamped their stretch goals and the KS started turning a brisker pace of pledges... but I can't remember what the screen said.

That's one of the drawbacks behind a 45-day campaign...

This was a 60 day KS, even worse.

Too silly, even for Warzone. The Mounted Hussars would have been much better in this role IMO.

I have to agree - one of the things that always struck me about Warzone was the rather strong element of "Silly" in their game.

I think they'd be better served minimizing that aspect this time around!

It is definitely a lot more pulp than hard. I hope they can strike a balance.

Regarding the threadbike, Mad Robot Minis cited that Lehaitre picture as a source, it was always assumed. And I was going to buy Airfix kits of the 1/72 MkI tank to convert some, truth be told. It just seems weird that both get the idea concurrently.

I think the design is perfect for Bauhaus. Bauhaus are the tread-head faction, they have an entire miltary arm just for tanks (the Dragoons). Then consider the fact that Mutant Chronicles/Warzone is very much a dieselpunk setting in a similar way as a lot of Weird WW2/1 games. So taking a funky design straight from the late 30's and pressing it in to service is the kind of thing I would expect Prodos to do when designing new vehicles.

Besides all that, I love the overall look of the thing. I've been getting tired of Lawmaster rip-offs and remakes of Kaneda's bike from Akira. Things like this (including the other version done by Mad Robots) and the mono-wheel bikes in Infinity are a breath of fresh air. These tractor-bikes are pitch perfect for the aesthetics of Bauhaus and mesh well with the feel of the setting in general. These are keepers.

I don't mind the idea, but I hope that these are not meant to replace the concept of the dinosaur riders.

Dinosaur riders are awesome, no matter what others may say.

I can stomach these. I don't find them as "odd" as others do, though I feel the tread could have been broken up to look more like modern vehicles that are used to drive around Alaska and Siberia. Just something to consider.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. Since the bikes look to be armed with a heavy machine gun sort of weapon, well the Dinosaur riders are armed with melee weapons (Lance and pistols).

Fast moveing firebase unit vs. Fast moveing Assault unit. So not realy any over lap in roles.

Like I said. I just hope this is meant as a whole new unit, and not as a replacement for the dinosaur riders.
;D
(Actually just finished making a post about that on the kickstarter comment section, before reading your post. lol Great minds think alike!)

And I can't see this kind of bike being so great in all terrains, so dinosaurs would be the default option in those cases, obviously.

The track bikes look like they sit kinda low to the ground, and has a pretty wide turning arc. I can't Imagen it would be to fun trying to navigate thick jungle with that thing. lol
