If anyone had access to any army would we just see Necrons/Daemons?

Interested to see how this poll shapes out.

I have to agree. Spam Vendettas before all the other codexes get good anti-flier.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

Tyranids because I would love to see the faces of the younger players around here, that is not a member of my club wo has never faced a Nid horde before. And beside, 6th gave Nids a boots. And the fact that I love to kill guard blobs

I'd take my Ultramarines, even if given the option of the latest, more powerful codexes.

I don't need fancy rules or special units to have fun. One of the reasons I picked my army is that it does what it is told. Blood Angels would run forward in a frenzy, Dark Angels would stubbornly hold the line. Ultramarines just did what I needed them to. The rules have changed a lot since those days, but I take pride in the fact that I take the field with Joe-Average marines, and still give a good showing

My army is just that -- Mine. They have stood by me since the RT days. I'd rather get my teeth kicked in playing my army then ride to victory on the wings of the latest cheese/power list.

Although given the option, I would probably bring more or different parts of the army then I currently own.

I would gladly take my Tyranids, Necrons or CSM to any tourney. I don't need any other army. Although some Daemon allies, would be nice!

Imeprial Guard FTW!!!

I would burn my enemy in ordinance before sending legions of conscripts under Chenkov to overwhelm what's left after bombardment.

I guess Tau and SoB are "other".

Would still take Tau for a Tau-dar or Tau-Gue'vesa(IG)build.

Its interesting to see SM and variants so high, Hello triple heldrake

Think we need a lot more votes though before we can really have some figures to confirm popularity.

People will only take the most powerful armies if you assume two things; Everyone wants to win, and everyone who wants to win wants to do so at any cost.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

If I wanted the most powerful army: Necrons hands down. But I would still prefer to take my orks preferably on the completed version I am trying to get after 2 years :(

If I had unlimited funds, I'd bring psychoir Tyranids. Loads of bodies, 20+ rolls on psychic powers and absolutely 0 trucks given about flyers or blobs or any of that silly stuff.

Keep them coming chaps, more votes means better understanding of where people are leaning towards and what they consider to be the most powerful armies out there.

I am suprised to see such a mixed spread, I honestly thought it would be heavily in favour of Necrons an Daemons.

Perhaps this proves 2 things:

1, Its not all about winning.
2, People are stubborn and will take whatever army they want to a tournament?

3. It's not the army, it's the player. For all the bads crying about Necrons and Daemons, good players use what they want and succeed.

Go look at Adepticon results for last year what stands out A Deathwing player using the old codex who took a Land Raider ask a WAAC they would have told you all three of those were a bad idea but he maade it work all the way to the final 8 out of 200+
