It’s a tale as old as time.

Demented tattoo artist meets pretty girl online. The two fall deeply in love and 24 hours after meeting in person, she lets her new boyfriend tattoo his name across her face.

Wait, what?

Yes. It really happened.

According to The Sun, the Russian woman identified as “Lesya” was inspired by love when she let tattoo artist Rousian Toumaniantz ink his name in giant Gothic script across her face.

To complete the look, he also inked “All For Love” above her left eyebrow.

The love birds who are now engaged, later posted the photos of the abomination … errr… we mean, love story, on Facebook.

Love – or whatever that is – truly makes one do the craziest things.

I don't have any tattoos, and don't plan on getting any anytime soon. That said, I think tattoos can be pretty attractive on women, and I'm not even opposed to facial tattoos necessarily, and to be honest, it doesn't look that bad. But the fact that it's a name tattoo? That is some of the weakest gak ever. That's just like regret waiting to happen, especially considering it's a boyfriend she had met like 24 hours prior.

Tattoos can be an awesome form of artistic expression, but getting someone's name tattooed anywhere to me just seems tacky as hell, and that goes x2 if the tat is on the face. She might as well have gotten "Mom" tattooed in a heart on her arm, or a Tasmanian Devil or a Tweety Bird on her calf or something equally lame.

As someone with tattoos, I know this sort of makes me a hypocrite but as with tanning, some people just go too damn far.

To whit, I think getting a tattoo on your face is an excellent way of telling everyone you meet that you're the sort of person that thinks getting a tattoo on your face is a good idea.

I like tattoos. I only have one but I really want another. I will probably get something done after my kid is born.

My only tattoo so far is on my upper arm. When I got it I wanted to be sure it was in a place that I could cover up. I will probably get more things in places that I could cover up, but I am also toying with having a sorta-sleeve done on my lower arm.

That is some messed up gak.

The artists best be warned, If shes the sort of gal who after 24 hours has a facial tattoo, then, if they break up, his hands a e going to be cut off, as well as his knackers.

Wow she's waaaay more fit that I thought she was going to be judging by the title.

By the way how is the artist deranged? She's the one with the face tattoo.

Looks like gak, mind you I don't understand the appeal of tattoos why would you want to put strange markings on your body when it's perfectly fine as it is?

Don't you love your mother?

I have my wife's name tattooed on my upper arm, inside a heart. It's the only tattoo I have. Tattoos should mean something, not just be a substitute for a personality.

See I'm the exact opposite. I hate tattoos that have a transparent meaning. I like people wondering why I have art on my body. Obviously its all personal but there's a huge big world of great tattoos out there that don't mean something. They're art. At least the ones I like the most.

For personal example I have on my left thigh an alligator wearing a pope outfit, holding a deer by the throat. On my right is a 50's style robot shooting lasers out of his eyes at a group of people, some of whom are caricatures of all my ex-girlfriends. Both have meaning to me but its not transparent. Those are my favorite style of tattoos.

It really is an art form that just doesn't get the respect it deserves. Maybe I should caveat that with some of it is. But thats true of all art.

Well she looks happy in her picture (which was obviously taken quite a while after she was tattooed) and it was her choice.

Its not something that I would do but she certainly shouldn't be pitied

To me, it seems like something that could have gone horribly wrong, but hasn't. She's still pretty with the tattoo, and they are apparently still going strong. I still wouldn't do it myself, especially looking at the photo from before the tattoos healed.

She's still pretty, but damn. That's crazy. While I generally find facial tattoos a bad idea, I can understand the idea of getting a big one if the person you love has one. But the ideas of a)getting one so soon, and b)making it their name are just asking for seven flavors of trouble.

Yes, generally. Sometimes a good facial tattoo can be amazing.

It can be really good to remind you of things when you look in the mirror if the writing is backwards.

Getting someone's name tattooed on your face after a first date is the behavior of a crazy person. Actually doing it to someone is the behavior of a total sociopath, who she is ostensibly in love with.

Pity is the kindest emotion I can muster for this story.

Honestly, I don't feel any pity towards her just disappointment that she exists, I would have been much happier not knowing about this person but as soon as I saw this article "I was like, you exist! Get the feth out of my life now!". Now I'm not advocating the removal of her life don't twist my

words like that (not saying you will Monster Rain, but anyone reading this post don't you fething dare), just I did not want to read about someone who would make a decision like that.

That is the saddest thing. Anything one could point to about possible emtional damage or limited oppurtunties in the future really pale in comparsion to the fact there is now a tattoo on a pretty face. This fething world, what is it coming to? I wish only uggos made poor life decision, then nothing of consquenc would come of it.

Well I'm glad you view beauty so subjectively.

"Judge not lest ye be judged" amirite?

I love how everyone is so quick to jump on the wagon that this girl is mentally ill. Is it possible, just maybe, that your standards of living are different from someone about whom you know nothing about besides an internet article? Would you say the Thai tribe with women who elongate their necks, or the cultures that practice lip disks, or the Ainu that blackened their teeth, or any one of the myriad viewpoints of beauty outside of middle class, white, suburban Western culture are "crazy"? There's a whole big world out there besides worrying about getting a 9-5, popping out kids, and white picket fences. As crazy as it sounds, some people can be happy outside of what you consider "a normal life"
