If you meant no gods, then you shouldn't have put Sigmar in the OP.

Sigmar is a Demi god as is nagash neither are gods and I don't want to really get into it but archaon had literally just killed Vulkan who was tailored to challenge him and then also knocked luthor Huss around then as he turned around he was head butted. The fact that archaon had his flesh seared and all the hair on his body burnt away in an instant by daemon fire, and then went on (while still burning) to throttle a bloodthirster to death with its own whip is a testament to how strong he is...

But yes, it literally states that, "Even Archaon was given pause. There was no way that even he could defeat Krakanrok the Black, the father of the Dragon Ogre race."

So I would say Archaon is rightfully booted from being a possible contender Sad, I know, but when you get your face kicked in by an upset Orc... I don't know that you should be allowed to contend anyways.

It would be awesome if a really powerful/hungry vampire found Karnak because they would drain him and become so ridiculously powerful that they would destroy the empire with a finger...
