What does everyone think about the Black Templar finally getting their stormravens on the 16th? Will you start playing your Black Templar again now that you have a better AA option? How will you run them?

I think the rumor is great. I'd run out and buy one, but I'm only working on my Chaos Space Marines in 2013.

I'm curious to the army specific missiles they will get. I'm sure the Codex: Space Marines will probably just have 72" kraks but the templars I dunno.

72" kraks? That's not so hot.

On topic I've never really gotten the craze about the Stormraven. Sure, it's a really nice gunship, but put anything into it and you're not assaulting until turn 3 unless the enemy lets you.

This. Time ten. I don't think it's all that either, but I bring one and a quad gun to shoot at helturkeys before they hoover up my entire list.

I think I will keep playing my BT like I always have. I think my Stormraven is all primed up and just waiting for the stupid lazy Chapterhouse kit to get to my fething house so I can put it together. I think Im running AssCans and Multi Meltas (maybe Typhoons). Cant wait to see what our missiles do.

I will never put troops in this. Gunship all the way.

Personally, I got sick of the AC failing me vs other fliers and so I went with the lascannon.

Honestly I don't think I would bother putting CC geared squads in one for that very reason. Could be useful late game but some shooty troops or something seem a bit more flexible if you're going to use the transport capacity you paid for.

Assuming it doesn't get shot down :\

I agree with the thought of using it as a gunship, though I might throw a squad with a chaplain attached in there just to kick them out the back and onto an objecive late game. As to what our missiles do, they'll probably be either the anti-psyker missiles from GK (boo hiss) or (hopefully) let us shoot a marine into combat

Yeah, I'd definately buy one now and run the Templars more regularly.

Personally i think it will help with all the new flyers to level out the field with all the hellturkeys running rampant, at least in my local shop lol
