Most of the "biome" stuff can be turned down or off in server configs. If it was really as bad as all that, it would likely end up in its own separate pack, like GregTech did.

We do not know yet. Just an assumption on my part. But there are negative effects. More than just Oh I put too much of one aspect into the crucible and there is a zombie!
Its more like. The biome changes. But it is slow. Not instant. All we have to do is avoid doing that.

Yeah. But it won't. Its probably just going to make a new biome that just happens. Plus its a great way to teach people what not to do.

taint grows. It can grow beyond its biome and it can appear from people using too much thaumcraft.

Or you know. People aren't stupid and dump stuff into the environment, like some people have been known for doing it to create angry giant zombies.

Good luck with that. In the meantime, I would probably just disable all the biome spread on the server (along with anything else that forces itself on people who aren't interested).

It is a cool mechanic and is great for people who intentionally install the mod, hoping for that mechanic in their single player world (or as a "Thaumcraft server"), but as part of a modpack where people just want a bit of everything, it's more of a nuisance.

Question for darkinnit...

Is the arcane transmutation table disabled?

No need, they can just build far away from it and likely never encounter it. I mean if it's 2-3k away, wouldn't every chunk need to be loaded 100% of the time for it to spread to them?

i have put an ender chest in the automatic mining age at X: 3275, Z: 3192. If anyone has sand, sandstone or rotten flesh they do not want you can put it in there. I have not added any color combination to it so let me know if you add one so I can match to it.

I now have an axe that not only chops down the entire tree it's used on if you use it on the lowest section, it also automatically smelts all wood logs in to charcoal for my use.

This is awesome and made of win.

Sounds like a pretty handy axe for sure.

Next item I plan to make is a reapers scythe thing that uses the souls of creatures I kill to shield me from harm.

I'd say that's pretty suspicious; sleep with one eye open tonight, Wyrm - we're on to you.

Aha, so you admit it! Or rather, you don't deny it! Watch your steps, boyo, you're close to tripping up.

Hey you're the one condemning me. A history of detective novels(/Knights of the Old Republic *spoiler) where the protagonist turns out to be the perpetrator, knowingly or not, tells me that you sir are not beyond question yourself. *grandiosely brandishes finger

I have the greatest of confidence that darkinnit shall find me innocent, and I openly invite him to investigate my actions, for I have nothing to hide. It is truly the action of a cornered man to condemn his accuser, for how else could he hope to escape justice? In this instance, however, your finger points to nought but the bringer of long-awaited justice; my eyes can see clearly through your deceptions, and I shall bring the hammer of justice down upon you until you spill your confession! Punishment can only be delayed, but it may never be avoided!

Hmm, I don't think Mexico is in the jurisdiction of the hammer of justice...
