They're nether ores. I think Ardite spawns near the top of the nether, but I have no clue where Cobalt spawns. Near the bottom perhaps? Since it's buggy to make nether quarries, you sort of need to mine them yourself :/ they seem much rarer than quartz.
The blue ore in the nether is cobalt right? Iv found it at all sorts of levels so Im not sure if it has a specific spawning range.
You could try just getting away from the nexus portal in the nether and setting up some sort of auto mining. Might take a fair bit of exploring otherwise.
Server's being unusually laggy tonight. I kept getting spiked every so often :/
Other people were having connection troubles as well--- Server having a bad night?
In other news, I have a mining bore and have begun the nether mining process.
Unfortunately, it would appear that cobalt and ardite are rather rare xD
Here is the source of the lag:
Lots of ingots being scattered everywhere in the mining age, and tons of cobble everywhere (and I can see lapiz etc too).
Whoever owns it, if I get to it before you do, it's all getting voided.
Ugh, that design is all so spread out as well, with volume of items that large wouldn't it also create some lag just by how they travelled within the pipes or did they fix that?
I think it's Optio's system. His quarry was feeding into the enderchest, which was hooked up to his ME system, but he'd turned off the ME system to save power....
I've turned off the quarry and adjusted the pipes to void cobble (just use an Igneous Extruder if you need cobble).
Why would an ME system be low on power in the mining age?

Is this a glitch on the map? I'd really like to believe so, since I haven't had the chance to log on lately. Cause if it is not, this is the single most hideously constructed structure I have ever seen which clearly, overshadowing any purpose it could possibly hold, exists merely to compensate for something its builder is lacking. No excuses would be enough to give this thing the right to exist.

It was already discussed a few pages back. It's not a glitch (well not a glitch in the map at least).
I'm pretty sure it would be in view from the building I had been constructing in that forest. His other stuff while large was alright since it wasn't in the way and actually looked like it had real effort put to it. This though, just annoys me and there are few things left that do so.
When I build somewhere I take into account how it looks with the area around it; to try to work with and get the most out of the surrounding area cause if you're going to build something I think you should put effort to it so you can have something you enjoy looking at. But, now there's just some giant **** flopping about in the background.
Then please get rid of that ugly piece of gak. It's right fukcing next to our property. It needs to die a horrible death.
I haven't had a chance to play recently so I haven't been paying too much attention to the map. THen I find some donkey-cave has built this giant tube of ugly within sight of our buildings....
