I'll also be hanging out there a bit so if you are attending and would like to meet up and chat feel free to shoot me a message or track me down in the demo area.
(I think it's over towards the vendor hall but not sure)
I'd say look for the overweight guy with glasses, but that's not going to be much help. I'll likely be the only guy there with Mecha Front models and I'm going to see if I can get some sort of t-shirt made that says Mecha Front on it so that I'm a bit more visible.
I'd also like to get some people together for dinner likely on Friday evening after the dealer hall closes (7:30ish?). You can't come to the Chicago area without hitting Giordano's for some of their stuffed pizza. So if you want to meet up for some great food I've got $100 towards buying.
(You're on your own for drinks) Watch this spot or the FB page for info.
Oh man, I really need to track you down on Friday! Let me know how to find you / post it up here

As a rule of thumb I doubt there will be any close combat weapons for the mecha as they are designed for modern style ranged combat. There might be options for select merc or character mechs to sport something outside the norm but not sure yet.

How about a blackfrost assassin mech. The character can have all sorts of jamming gear loaded out and be dropped behind lines or camouflaged until enemy forces get in close. Extra heat sinks. It could have a seperate gun as well.
Edit: what you going to do with that banner after the con? If you don't save it for the next one I'm sure it could find a home here on dakkadakka.

I'll likely keep the banners for use at other conventions, but if I decide to part with them I'm sure I'd want to offer them as a prize for a raffle or some sort of contest.

That quad mecha looks sweet. Can't wait to see a mini for it. P.S. The posters are very simple and somewhat bold. Fits well for a futuristic mecha combat game.

If you were to include Melee, I see the use of Pile Bunkers to be the most likely path to go down for it in this game.
If you're unfamiliar with the term/weapon, it's basically a sort of cannon, but instead of firing a shell, it propells a solid spike straight forward (that then retracts).
Or go look here for a mildly better explanation.

Yeah, and Armoured Core. I think it'd fit quite nicely here though. Replace gun with stabby device that has limited uses.

Be usefull in missions where an enemy building/structure must be breached. The mechs go in first to clear out heavy resistance then use the weapon to breach a bunker/vault so troops can enter without using explosives/ordinance.

I'm doubting that I'll be able to get back up there, unfortunately sunday is my brother's birthday and we're having some sort of get together before I have to run him to the airport. While the convention is only across town for me my schedule is really chopped up. I might be able to pop up there for an hour but it's not long enough for dedicated table time.

The laser arms for the Lynx are about 80% done, needs a final pass of detailing and it'll be ready for the printer. I'll also be working on the railguns and missile launchers for it this week and should have them available for pre-order shortly. I'm also going to be redoing the autocannon set for the Raptor and an updated missile launcher.
I'm holding a post Adepticon sale on the website for the next two weeks.

The dropzone terrain worked really well for the setup. I'm torn between the bigger models or the micro scale, as I really want to get a few and build a terrain board using model train stuff for it... but I'm not sure the scale to use to match.
Even if I don't get people playing, I'm definitely going to pick up a few to paint. There are never enough giant robot games.

RiTides, no worries there's a ton of events competing for time/attention at Adepticon. I also could have planned stuff out much better, had hoped to do stuff both fri & sat but my Friday plans got completely messed up so I was only able to be there sat evening. Next year I'll be making sure to lock down a table during day time hours and hopefully have a vendor booth.
It was cool to meet a few of the people from Dakka there as it helps me put some faces with the names, plus I got some really good feedback on the models.
For the epic scale/ micro-armor scale you can download the pdf on the dropzone commander site: http://www.hawkwargames.com/blogs/downloadable-buildings
If you reduce it to 45% it should pair up quite well with the small scale models. (When I resized them I print the files at 55% of the original size) It'll take a bit more gluing then the pre-printed stuff they are selling but it'd be an excellent fit.
I have a set of buildings I made by scaling down stuff from world works: http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/index.php?view=catalog&cat_id=1&genre_id=2
The difficulty is that they they are all only one size and I had to toy around with them quite a bit in photoshop to get them to work. I'd prefer to use the DZC stuff as they have a mix of building sizes and it's easier to adjust the scale on the stock files.

Those look really good (and no obvious seams running down every flat surface ). I like the individual missile doors.
It looks like your 6mm stuff is sold out on your website. Will you be releasing any more 6mm resin figures or are you going to limit it to metals on the Kickstarter?
