I do all my resin casting in the basement of my house. Which is basically a workbench crammed in one corner surrounded by a disaster zone of resin and other casting materials.

The metal stuff I outsource as I currently lack the vulcanizing machine to make the molds. I do have a spincasting machine but it's really ancient and not up to the task of mass production. It has to be jury rigged as the automatic clamping mechanism is broken, I can do small spins by hand cranking everything down but it really cuts into the production time which is why I'm outsourcing the metals. My goal is to buy new metal casting machines sometime next year so I can do all the metal casting in house, also move everything to a dedicated work shed outside to help keep all the fumes out.

All of the surveys are now posted, I'll need responses by the end of the month. (although sooner is highly preferable)

There won't be a separate pledge manger, everything is being handled through the survey.

I think I've covered everything but if you have questions just let me know.

Finally had to decide between NorAm and Neo-Bloc (NorAm won), but got my survey in straight away. Funds a little tight sadly, so only added a hardcover upgrade and one extra large gun package. Looking forward to getting my giant robit pew pew on

I got my survey in today. I cried (just a little) when I realized I couldn't afford to add on any 15mm stuff right now. I'll have to save some money for November when retail sales start back up.

Now showing Martian Grunts from Mantic's Mars Attacks!

Painting total as of 23rd September 2025: 118 plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Golly, I forgot how complicated my pledge was and spent the better part of two hours messing up on my survey, recalculating everything, and writing a PM to Jon about it.

Advice: if you bought heavily into this, take a minute to try and remember what your plan was before tackling the survey!

Tell me about it, not only did I have a blast writing all of those up, I'm going to have all the joy of double checking all 190 of them.

Finished and sent my survey in. Of course I added a Heavy Blackfrost Wendigo to my pledge, but I didn't include it under "additional 15mm minis" but under "additional items". Sorry Jon. Hope this doesn't confuse you.

No kidding. Trying to fill in the survey late last night for the Total Carnage while trying to have an ABC option for every Mecha was too much for me.

I think I've got it all figured out now. Going to give it another go.

Heh, Jon took care of my survey snafu. I have my Assault force pledge returned, and look forward to getting a ton of Resin in 4-6 months.

I plan on using my 3 Neobloc Goshawks against the 2 Blackfrost Cougars, or against the single Blackfrost Wendigo.

I think the addition of Ace/Veterans to the Goshawks will help even them out. Plus I have infantry and other 15mm vehicles to help round out games.

I guess I'll have to expand my forces at a later date so I have some decent demo forces.

It's amazing what a cider will do. I was able to blaze through the pledge manager. Survived the yard sale too!

I didn't add anything else, but I'll definitely pick up the rules once I have received my stuff. (Still working with the playtest version atm)

So, I'll have three Goshawks, three Osprey, and one Black Wolf. I assume that's a sizable enough force, no?

I'd say you have all you need to play a night-long game against someone else. If you pepper in a few other elements, you'll have quite a bit of fun.

Demo & Playtest Event:

Being held at Fair Game in Downers Grove IL
Saturday June 28th from 4pm until 9pm

http://fairgamestore.com/

They have a open play day scheduled for the 28th and they are letting me run some games during that time. They also have tables open for all sorts of gaming. Fair Game carries a lot of ccgs and board games, they also stock some miniatures, reaper, hordes/warmachine, deadzone, ww exodus.

In addition to having fun and helping test out the rules I'll sweeten the pot by bribing those that attend with some free miniatures and afterwards there'll be pizza at Roundheads Pizza (which is next door).

Man, I really wish I could attend that demo session!

Any chance you will be at GenCon this year? (whether professionally or just for fun)

I won't be at gencon as a company presence, but I may make it down for the day either on Fri or Sat, still not certain just yet. Indy is about 3-4 hours drive so if I go it'll likely be for one day as I can go hang out and see everything I need then drive back without needing to spring for a hotel. Haven't registered for any events, the only one I'm remotely interested in is Doomtown and being that I'd have to buy cards that day, build the deck and re-learn the new rule set I'll probably pass on it. (although I LOVE Doomtown as a game)

A man after my own heart, I also loved Doomtown, and 7th Sea. I'm glad to see Doomtown coming back as a living card game.

Hopefully they bring the 7th Sea Card Game back as a living card game as well.

Er, I mean "extendable" card game.

The new batch of Micro Armor parts showed up in the mail today. Here's a shot of the raw parts right out of the box, they are being held together with some sticky-tac. (A few of the parts are a little crooked due to not being glued) I also have the parts for the Raptor A but I forgot to take a pic of that one.

They'll be washed to remove some the dust, I'll give them a final cleaning and inspection before they head off to the spin caster early next week.

I'm curious about the toes. Why do they stick up like that? Is that a functional thing or purely aesthetic?

Just something to give it a bit of variety. They are like that in the concept art which has been around for a year, but it seems like nobody noticed until I was working on the 3d model.
