Miniaturemarket.com has some on clearance including the angry zombies. Also core sets are cheapest through Target.com or Walmart.com (yes I am an enabler )

Just be careful with the minis. They're not detailed for painting. And the player characters are identified by their bases, so make sure the color is discernible.

I find them perfectly fine for my painting skills, and when there's 40-50 figs on the table they look great together. You can always paint the base trims or the whole base in one color for survivors, another for zombies, another for toxic zombies, a fourth for berserkers and another for skinners. They definitely aren't FW quality sculpts, but for the price they are great.

I just meant that the detail gets lost in the molding process. My (not)Leonard figure has a nearly smooth face. The finer details are completely lost.

Ideally I'll get back on track with my baneblade, but my camo painting is bothersome. I'm trying to paint it in such a way that when I swap out the bits between tank variants that it will still line up. If I just ignore that it should go a lot more smoothly.

So, after spending my workday working very hard at watching a lot of WarhammerTV's painting videos, I think I have a basic idea on how to really make my baneblade just that much better. And the start of that will be to spray the bastard black again.

Ah the "start again!" syndrome. Though I liked your camo idea, will wait and see how you go from here.

I liked it too, but it was going to take a very long time to cover the entire surface. All day friday I watch WarhammerTV's videos and one of the Advent videos was this one:




After watching that I rather liked the look. So I thought. Sure, I can do this. Here was my Hexblade as it stood.



So I took a pot of this bad boy.



And then I started to coat the tank in it.



You can still see the star patterns a bit, but that's because the paint was thick.





I think replaced the hull piece and started painting that as well.



The "Firin' Mah Lazer!!" turret will still be black, but right now I just needed to coat everything and it was a bit of collateral damage. As I was painting I looked at the rest of the bits and thought... that black just won't do.



So I spent the rest of the night apply the entirety of my Rhinox Hide to it.



Now that my all I have until after Father's day, but I won't leave you with that. Because I learned that my FLGS sells bits. So I helped myself to some.







Not only that, but I also helped myself to some paints as well.



Including the 3 new gemstone technical paints.

I can't wait to use it all.

What do you all think about the repaint so far?

Looks great. One thing to put in mind. My friend who is ex army pointed out that he repainted his tank 4 times in 2 years. So having a little of what came before coming through does not hurt in my opinion.

I am a pair of legs away from a complete Ork! I also got some nice Carnifex bits that I have an idea for.

I do have the hankering to write battle reports like white dwarf used to. But that wont be until my army is done and I learn the latest rules.

Hey guys! I'm back with an update and everything!

So here is where I left off with my Baneblade. A lovely shade of brown, isn't?



Then, in keeping with the video I shared, I picked a color...



And proceeded to paint a nice stripe across my tank. Starting at the front corner...



And across the top...



And then I painted across the turret as well.





Looks pretty good I think.



What do you all think?



Thoughts? Opinions?
