My city just made a law, where a prominent park cannot be smoked anywhere nears for 3 blocks.
And yet, we legalize marijuana(or try)

I think Americans have more trouble with sex than violence because violence is less ambiguous, for whatever reason, to us than sex. That is, we feel more comfortable judging what violence is "good" or "bad" than we do judging what kinds of sex acts or sexualities are "good" or "bad." It kind applies with this smoking thing, too. Some Americans believe other Americans will have no trouble watching a violent movies and not acting violently as a result -- but they seem to be really worried that if we see actors smoking that we'll want to or feel obliged to smoke. The idea that tobacco smoking is more morally ambiguous than extreme physical violence is ... well, you can see why other cultures find ours so weird and why we ourselves find it so weird.

I honestly wished the worst thing about our society was that people smoked. Nevermind having feth all money, or not enough housing, or expensive gas and electric, or urban decline, or unemployment, or declining wages, or a looming energy crisis.

Also yeah. In the original LOTR it was pretty subtle but the Hobbit has a subtle little wink that puts the emphasis on the "weed" in pipeweed.

It was all In Frodos head. In reality it was a journey out of the house to the local petrol station for Rizla and a Yorkie or two.
