So I was just curious, Whats your favorite chaos god(s)? Feel free to say why aswell! My favorite is Tzeentch with Slaanesh on the second place. And Nurgle is dead last
Have you read The Lives of Ferag Lion-Wolf? I can't conceive of a reason anyone would ever want to follow Tzeentch after reading that.
Slaanesh, on the other hand, gives his followers some nifty powers (functional immunity to pain, resistance to drugs and toxins) but really hoses them on the flip side. All of the Slaaneshi followers you see in the fiction aren't getting any enjoyment from what they do anymore. They're all like harcore drug addicts, still compelled to engage in their perverse activities, but no longer able to really enjoy them.
And Khorne just doesn't care. So long as someone's getting killed, he does not give a flying fart.
Call me crazy, but if I had to follow one of the Ruinous Powers, I'd pick the one who at least somewhat rewards success. I also like how he's kind of the opposite of Slaanesh in that he gives his followers some horrible deformities, but also alters their minds so that they enjoy it.
If I have to be totally damned, I might as well be happy. And thus: Nurgle.

I swear I think those two have a hate-crush on each other sometimes.
When ever I run Nurgle or Slaanesh, I just excuse it as Khornate warriors who are fast or tough.

Nurgle is having a party, and your invited. They are coming and bringing the beer.
Hey, why are you shooting at them? Now their just defending themselves.
There, isn't that better? Now your part of the party! Want some beer?
When I was younger I always thought Tzeentch, being the angsty social outcast that I was, craving the power to turn people into eyeballs and the such.
But, now that I'm older, I quite fancy giving myself up to Slaanesh worship, mainly just to keep up with my single friends who still manage the party scene.
My entire army near enough, is Nurgle. But, ironically, i'm torn between slaanesh and Nurgle, as my favourites. Noise marines, I find to be the coolest thing in this game by far, and daemonettes are a close second.
But I love the fact that despite the image, Nurgle is actually the closest thing to a benevolent god, in the entire 40k universe. He loves his followers, and his follower's love him, even calling him grandfather nurgle, rather than "LORRRDDDD, MAASSTERRR, worshipy culty crapppp!"
He takes away pain and suffering, and grant's immortality, and all he asks in return, is that you spread the same gift's to others. Sure, the way he does it isn't pretty, but that doesn't matter in the end, because he even makes you think you are beautiful, and takes away any suffering caused by it.
I have to admit, I'm a Tzeentch girl. Magic, power, schemes... everything I wish I could have but am too stupid to realise for myself. ^^;

Slaanesh. After seeing some old school noise marines, it was no contest. Plus a life of drugs, sex and more drugs sounds pretty good in comparison to what nurgle can offer.
An excellent example of a Slaaneshi worshiper.

Tzeench. Because while everyone's out looking to take over (or destroy) the galaxy and everything in it, Tzeench is out messing with people.
Everything that happens is part of the plan. You can't lose if everything that happens happens because you wanted it to

Khorne gets my main vote out of sheer blood lust. Anyone that devoted to pure apocalyptic violence for the sake of it gets my evil side points.
Second place goes to Papa Nurgle. He may 'bless' you with vicious, horrible, mind numbingly disgusting diseases but he sure does love and care for his children. Plus zombies man...
"Oh, yours died on a cross? That's cool. My messiah is a 100 ton land battleship that crushes the souls of the unfaithful beneath it's holy treads. ALL HAIL THE CRASSUS ARMORED ASSAULT TRANSPORT!"
Grandfather Nurgle. Tzeentch and Khorne tie second.
Of course there should be an option for Malal. Best Chaos/not Chaos God by far!

Imma say Tzeentch. As he is a schemer, and i like how his stuff looks.
I despise Nurgle because he, and his followers are Fugly as
And that was before i read any of the Daemon lore.
After reading Daemon Lore, Tzeentch is still my favorite, then Slannesh, Then Khorne, Malal, Other chaos gods.
Nurgle Is not on the list

Slannesh to me is the perfect god of corruption. He/She/It promises great power and delivers, but holds something back every time, always making the follower need to go deeper into his/her/its embrace to get the same fix.
Its the perfect form of corruption. That and I do enjoy playing with Damonettes on the table, if nothing more than the eye candy.
