I have one bike squad that i got with DV (mainly for the librarian, chaplain and tac squad), i i've tried to field it in battles, but it hasn't been that effective in my opinion. I think i mihgt not be using it right, since i only have one "misfit" bike squad. What is the proper role for bikes, since i don't have a bike captain, it is FA.

Bike squads are mobile firepower...
I like 2 Meltaguns and using it as a quick strike anti-tank. It is still going to get shot up pretty fast but then it has purpose.

I like plasma on bikes because they can still assault after double tapping. The attack bikes get MM.

My eyes have just been opened, i like bikes. Now that's another thing I need on my wishlist. Dang, relentless, they jink, and they have hammer of wraith, that sounds like a awesome unit, not to mention T5 awesome.

Just keep them out of combat, They can take punishment but they suck large in combat.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

CSM bikes are actually very good in combat.

Bikes are like shock cavalry. If they win on their charge turn, they are fine, but if they bogged down, they have problems. I have assault with my BA bikes a ton. As long as its the right target, its fine.

That is true, I completely forgot he only had 3. You can get more from DV box very cheaply on ebay

Or just be careful with the bikes you have. The best solution is not always to go out and buy more stuff
