Apparently a ton of people hate Anne Hathaway and some boffins say it's because of the shape of her face.

They say her type of face is best for "challenging times" and Anne's popularity apparently peaked in 2008. She's also said to be a "theater kid" who "adopts the mood of every situation she's in" and "wildly overcompensates every time."

So, she's bony and insincere and some kind of personification of the financial crisis.



The article doesn't go on to say it but: What we want now is someone rounder of cheek, candid and down to earth, with a can-do spirit in the face of it all ...



Personally, Hathaway Hate doesn't jive with me. And I don't like Jennifer Lawrence, blah.

I'd like for either of them to hold my "Oscar". I don't get the Anne Hathaway hate.

I think they're both quite pretty though Anne Hathaway is more my type physically, I think.

She was also really, really good in that movie. I bet if Nolan could do it again, he would have cast Jennifer Lawrence as Rachel Dawes.

I had never given Hathaway much of a look until Batman and then I enjoyed both her performance and appearance. She has big eyes and I find her pixie look highly appealing.

I find Lawrence falls into a place for me I call 'very attractive and entirely forgettable', she's a good looking lass and she sits with many other good looking lasses in hollywood who my eye just passes over. I found hunger games fairly bland. She does not have the notable attractive qualities to be an icon.

But then what do I know, I have a raging passion for Yo-Landi Vi$$er. A woman most men consider very weird or unattractive.

I don't think Jennifer is pretty at all. She's off-putting to me, like Maggie Gyllenhaal. I mean, they (Jennifer and Maggie) are both good actors and Anne is not exactly my "dream girl" or anything but ... I don't know, I just don't see what people think is so beautiful about Jennifer Lawrence.

Yep, that's spot-on for me too. I don't see anything iconic in that face.

Anne Hathaway is an awesome and very attractive actress. Never been impressed by Lawrence, and I doubt she could put out a vocal performance that could even be played in the same room as an audio recording of Anne's version of "I Dreamed a Dream"

I like them both. I like Jen more in interviews as she seems extremely quirky and silly. Both are solid actresses and I wouldn't kick either one out of bed.

I don't actually like Anne Hathaway. I too find her slightly annoying. She also gives off this anorexic vibe to me.

Her post-Oscars press meeting is making the rounds in a big way, with loads of people responding "d'awwww that's why we love her." Seems slightly nauseating to me.

Meh, opinions differ. I find it refreshing. I don't love her but I certainly like her and that likability will reflect in me being more likely to see a movie with her in it. Same way some other actors interviews when they're making the circuit do.

People who like Jennifer Lawrence are most definitely "on the side of history" -- at least for right now. It's just one of those moments, for those of us who don't care for her, where you realize who ephemeral being a Hollywood favorite is. I'm pretty fascinated by the idea that Anne Hathaway's face jives with the financial crisis (great casting for Catwoman, think about that one) and it's equally fascinating to think -- Jennifer Lawrence is the face of "recovery"? Or the face of "sick of dealing with the financial crisis?"

Manchu I checked her IMDB and I haven't seen a single one of her films including The Hunger Games which I have and had about as much interest in as having a knife shoved in my eye ball. Thankfully "US" magazine reading types like you can keep me informed

Looking a little far into why someone likes an actress aren't you? She's been in a couple of good films and performed well. It's not much for most mature people beyond that. Her personality also reasonates better off the cuff than Hathaway. And she seems to have a better agent.

That said I like Anne Hathaway too. Liked her before batman. And her performance in Les Mis made her an instant favorite of mine.

My annoyance is Hugh Jackman not getting best actor this year.....That's the real travesty!!!!

If we are stuck with only the choices of Anne and Jennifer, it is hard not to remain neutral. They are both fine, but picking a side is like having to choose between a Jacob or Edward cup at Burger King.

It is also hard to get to worked up about either when Sofia Vergara is out there.

I don't think I've seen ANY of the X-men movies besides the first one. I was indisposed for work for two theater runs and the rest got put into the "rental" column and I never got around to renting them.

Tbh I have issued ID'ing actors and actresses, you either gotta really rock or really suck for me to remember who you are.
