There is a strange dichotomy about what people want to see during time's of crisis vs. regular times. During the Great Depression, people loved watching escapist movies about rich people and their lifestyle. In our most recent recession, all the music was about partying it up. No problems were present. People don't go to the movies/listen to music/read books/be entertained to be reminded that their life sucks.

In that sense, Anne seems to have a delicate, aristocratic facila features. Such features are evocative of wealth and money. Such features are perfect for recession era audiences. However, her interview style was less than "high brow" but played into the party all the time, no problems mentality. Remember when she "rapped"?

Jennifer Lawrence ont he other hand has features that are considered more girl-next-door pretty. As we recover from the recession, we are no longer looking to fantisize about wealthy and partying. We are ready to look at something different.

Therefore, Anne's time is over.

All that being said, I think the argument I just laid out is a bunch of psuedo-intellectual hookum. Anne rules!

Pretty much what I've been saying except I'd go further to say that hookum is a weird way to rationalize people's bizarre hatred/violent language toward a celebrity.

So geometric shapes and bone structure of her face are on-topic.

But talking about the geometric shapes of her butt and the bone structure of her hips are off-topic?

Now I'm sad...

Nope, talking about why her facial features make her hated is on-topic.

Talking about what celebrity you want to feth is off topic.

I don't buy into the depression era loves Anne Hatheway clap-trap.

I do think Anne has a more sophisticated look compared to Jennifer's Girl-Next-Door look.

I want a time machine so I can go feth Sophia Loren, ~1959

Edit: In googling the above image, I found out that Sophia was apparently REALLY into down blouse...

I can't see your picture there KK. But if you have a "Depression Face," I suppose I'll find you attractive.

Something like this:

Im pretty sure theyre both real. I have no interest in the fakes.

+1 on Jennifer Connelly too!

Before and after.
Spoiler:

It's hard to tell by the angle but it looks like she was thinner in the first picture and considering Christina Hendricks has an hour glass figure it's not too hard to believe that most of the weight went to her tits and ass, also for Jennifer Connelly, Christina Hendricks and Kat Denning.

Hmm, the question of which actress any of us prefers to fantasize about is actually off-topic. This thread is about a large group of people hating Anne Hathaway.

And also Anne Hathaway's butt, right?

But, lets go back to your premise for a second.

I think this "Anne Hathaway Backlash" is an utter, total media fabrication that literally does not exist, like the alleged Britney Spears Sex tape story from a few years back. There is no such thing. Here is a poll from the front page of CNN, superimposed over the lead story from the Entertainment section (other then copying and pasting it the image is unmanipulated by me, and you can see both of these things right now by visiting CNN):

Spoiler:

Which makes me feel two things:

1.) The first day of the sequester, and their front-page poll is about Anne Hathaway. It's not news, it's CNN.com.

2.) CNN, stop trying to make fetch happpen.

Anne Hathaway is Fetch, Loved her in Ella Enchanted! (And Get Smart, and The Princess Diaries, and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement).

I do not like her short hair. She looked stellar with longer hair. I am not a fan of the short hair (Though I still love her).

That clip is Fetch as well!

Also, she was "Ranked #2 on Glamour Magazine's Most Glamourous Women in the World list (2009)." (From http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004266/).

I've never sen Ella Enchanted, but I know Ebert really liked it. I've been meaning to watch it, but is it like a kid's movie or what?

I didn't read all the posts but for me the "off putting" part of Anne Hathaway is the fact that here features (eyes, nose, mouth) are all too big for her face. Her style of makeup accentuates that, too.

I haven't watched Les Miserables but I didn't have any problem with her in DKR or Get Smart. Her publicity shots creep me out though.

My favourite part of Anne Hathaway is her face (although I disagree she has a big nose) I genuinely think it is genuinely good looking then again I like big eyes, lips and small noses went it comes to faces although I think her body isn't that great (I find the hour glass figure ideal and Anne

doesn't really have much of a rack or butt).

Cheesecat, you may enjoy watching Love and Other Drugs, and I expect it will enhance your appreciation. She's not an hourglass, that's true, but she's got nothing to complain about.

On Topic, I agree with Ouze. I think this is a a made-up story. The premise is not granted.

I've seen it before but found the film boring except for seeing Anne Hathaway's tits, even then they were OK (then again I mentioned I'm not a huge fan of her bod anyways) but there's a lot better stuff to be found elsewhere.

Reading this story was like listening to Sport's or Political Radio. They need to fill psace with something, so they just start spinning, and spinning, and spinning until it takes on a life ofd its own; even though no one really believes what they were saying in the first place.
