It's an easy question: what things from sci-fi you would love to see during your lifetime?

Write them in two categories: possible and not possible.

Possible:
-Loader from 1986 Aliens, always loved them and I would actually like to see them in use. Not very hard to build now with the tech we have available.
-Hover cars, still early in development but high promises for now.
-A.I. driven cars, in some 20 to 30 years this wil lbe standard in the West ( car driving instead of you ).
-Colony on the Moon, the most realistic we will get from coloniztion in the next 80 years or so.
-Fist Human space port, like an ISS but made to build ships in space.

Not possible:
-Colonization of Mars, doubt that we wil lsee this any time soon.
-First War Engine, they will need to do some serious thinking here an I doubt we will ever see it.
-Teleporters, while they can do this now with few atoms we are so far from small object or Human being.
-Replicators, there is a nice theory here with utilization of nano-robots. But for now still far away...
-Contact or confirmation of with alien life, even if they do it we would find it out in like few years. Maybe we wil lfind soem primitive life under the ice of Europa or on some other place, but actual intelligent life - who knows?

The universe has many horrors yet to throw at us. This is not the end of our struggle. This is just the beginning of our crusade to save Humanity. Be faithful! Be strong! Be vigilant!

Already happening, Raytheon is using warehouse work as part of it's exoskeleton development programs.

For me I want to see nanotech at an incredible scale, no idea if it's possible or not any more tbh. I wouldn't have said we'd be on the cusp of curing aids or would be able to make a blind man see inside of a decade a year ago, never mind being at both those points the very next year.

Holodecks would be cool, but if they where invented I think society would collapse. Why face the real world when I can live whatever Holodeck fantasy I choose?

According to Transformers the Movie, we should've had them by now. We've got 2 years till back to the future 2 is proved wrong. I want a real working one, I can use on a daily basis.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Bionic limbs would be cool. I think it is possible that in the not-too-distant future, wounded soldiers from 1st world countries might be able to get these. Probably first though will be for rich folk who have lost limbs getting them, as they'll be expensive as sin.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

While it's true that a hooker with hearing aids may be a cyborg, she (or he, there's no judgements here) is definitely not a sex robot by my definition, good sir.

What do you define a "ballistic knife" as? If you mean a knife that shoots the blade, those are totally available now (depending on your locality, they're pretty unlawful in the US).
