The only primarch I never notice people getting particularly flustered about is Leman Russ.

I dislike all the Primarchs. They had no character or conviction. All they did was bend over and either do what the Emperor told them or what Chaos suggested.

With the recent release of the new DA codex the amount of DA fanboys has risen in my flgs. They seem to think of the DA as great marines with their awesome primarch who never lost and beat the snot out of his brothers. They have struck Cruze and Russ of their list and are now riled up by the rumour that the Lion will suckerpunch Guilleman in an upcoming novel. It gets a bit annoying after a while.

Im more of a sucker for Dorn or Magnus, but they dont really shine in BL novels atm. Except Magnus, but its more of a sad shine really.

Yep, agree...100%...Yep but they are forgeting the signature move of Lion - "sucker-backstaber punch" ...
He beats Russ only when he let his guard down, and after Curze was choking him, the famous backstaber....
This is why I hate ADB...he was so bombarded by DA fanboys that he even had to even the odds in his next book.....and he even told them that first fight was a draw...I mean OMG....

Leman Russ started that fight with a sucker punch. Fitting that the Lion would end it with one.

i don't give a crap about Russ...but suckerpunch in a fist fight isn't the measure Lion>Russ...Also IIRC they fought with blades and no one could get the upper hand...So I level them up....

but Curze is another thing dear fanboy....

In your mind no doubt...but without any SW fanboism on my behalf I kind of even them up...mostly based on second rather "fair fight"...
And even in the first fight it is stated that two p were perfectly balanced (while Russ was stronger, Lion was quicker)...

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? No one, Vulkan. None of them will come. You are simply not that important. You are alone.’ Konrad Curze to Vulkan

Did you see how pathetic was the author on B&C when he was responding to fanboys?
I mean I do get that he is bound by contract and he has to be "dirty neutral", but the guy needs to grow a pair....

I think it is, as a writer, hard to not write positive about the character you really like. I mean, most of us are all fanboys, and if we had to write a book featuring one, we'd make them extra awesome in it, no?

I, for one, don't really hate any of the Primarchs. Perhaps Fulgrim, but well, Slaanesh..
And I like to joke about Leman Russ and the Space Wolves. WOlf wolf

I now, but at least you are polite...But some things are just wrong...
AD-B even said that SW have the largest fanbase, following by BA and DA...So it seems to me they are keeping track, and know very well when to hit somewhere....
It's all showbiz, right? That's why I envy some guys/girls on this forum who can ignore that and stick to their codexes...

AD-B once said he refused to write a book about the Black Legion for a long time because he didn't think he could resist the urge to make his favourite Legion over-the-top awesome out of all proportion.

A lot of people here seem pretty fething salty about ADB for some reason.

I really lol'd at the notion that he is biased against the Space Wolves.

He brought them up in the middle of Betrayer just to talk about how stupid Angron is, and the last third of The Emperor's Gift was nothing but Wolf spanking.
