Second silhouette looks like the Blaine (DBX) character. He had a fur frill on his collar, didn't he?

Can't tell the third one but the last appears to be a Nameless.

That'd be sweet. Blaine was a pretty cool piece of artwork and I'd love to get a few more background bits on him (or his species).

Warpath Plague Army List:

http://www.manticblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/warpath-plague-alpha.pdf

Very interesting list... looks like we're definitely getting plague swarms and plague mortars soon, and maybe even a plague mech if things go nuts.

And some more pics of the hard plastic zombie designs, showing all the different pieces that will be on the sprue:

I dearly hope they embrace ball & socket joint design from here on out. It does so much to improve the versatility of your figures.

Seems like they might be from parts of that picture. Seems like they might not be from parts of that picture...

It's a good parts breakdown either way.

^ The waist joint definitely will be, looks like the arms might be as well.

Quite liking the zombie with the pliers, and the female corporation trooper zombie.

Yes, good stuff if they managed to make them like that. Really though, a stretch goal to get more plastics I would up my pledge for just because...

And for $15 with the freebie you'd probably have enough models for 2 teams...

I know I'm late to the game here but I'm being tempted by the scenery pledge. I'm going to look through some of this thread for details but can anyone tell me if there's a breakdown of what you actually get in the 4 battle zone sprues and how much scenery they'll make up?

It looks like 1 battle zone gives a fairly sparse 2x2 area?

@Herzlos, Here's a render I made showing what 2 battlezones can make:

The large building is one battlezone, and the 3 smaller buildings are another.

Roughly, yes. This image from http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1744629938/deadzone-the-sci-fi-miniatures-board-game/posts/492727 shows it fairly well I think:

So a Plague strider, eh?

Makes me think of a chicken- legged walker of the AT-ST variety.

Do the Plague drive it themselves? Do they still have the brain capacity for that?

I doubt we'd be seeing Strain type bio-mechanical monstrosities at this point.

Maybe it will end up being some kind of long legged creature?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

^ Here's the Plague for now, not sure if the enforcer list will fit since it's part of the full rulebook.

Edit: They both fit.

I wish we could add a poll about most anticipated army. I would guess Rebs on top with Marauders at the bottom, but I would be curious to see the numbers.

Dangerous Encounter
Update #66 · May 29, 2013 · comment

And that’s Wrath, the Judwan assassin, included free into game pledges of Recon ($100 and Early Bird) and up. Get in!

With this stretch goal smashed, we’ve unlocked a new goal - you asked for it, so here it is!
$705,000 – Deadzone Acrylic Counter Set

If we hit this goal, we will be able to tool a set of Deadzone Acrylic Counters!

This set will include:

- 12 Enraged Counters (Grey)

- 6 Berserk Counters (Black)

- 6 Injured Counters (Red)

- 6 Suppressed Counters (Blue)

- 6 Overwatch Counters (Green)

These counters are made of durable acylic ready for the vigours of gaming. They're now available to add-on to your pledge:

But that's not the only treat we've got for you...
Gameplay Video - Turn 1

James and I sat down to film a game using the Beta rules over the weekend - and jolly good fun it was too!

The Beta incorporates your feedback based on the Alpha, which is why we've not done one of these yet, but the Core Mechanics are unlikely to change so we produced this little video for you to see a game in action.

Please note that the components in the video are not final - the mat will have square edges and the cards and counters will have proper artwork.

This is turn 1 of 3 - look out for turn 2, turn 3 and the explosions and general abuse of grenades they contain coming soon!

Thanks for your patience whilst we put this together - please leave us your comments below!
And Finally

Over on the Mantic Blog we've posted up the rules for using The Plague models in our mass combat sci-fi game Warpath - a unit based game for large battles!

Deadzone is set in the same universe as Warpath and the models are fully compatible.

The Hard Plastic Zombies feature interchangeable components.

Check it out if you're interested!

Hmmm - $20 for the counters going to have to give that some thought or see if I can find generic ones cheaper or stick with the card counters it's the sort of thing that should have been an early stretch goal to upgrade all box sets but set the goal larger $25k or so to cover the cost.

I was hoping that there would be a good stretch fill in goal to help get us to $675K's unexciting PDF offering.

Otherwise, it could be a slow slog indeed to get there...

And thank you scarletsquig for those lists!

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

I'm wondering whether those tokens might be added for free at a certain pledge level at some point? (didn't that happen for DB?)

Another question - regarding the zombies, from Jake's comments it might be worthwhile getting of box of them just to be wandering around doing stuff while the 2 factions are fighting?

Can't believe I am considering getting more sci-fi zombies after just finishing painting about 30 of the Sedition Wars ones

I'm waiting to find out what is in the other BOGO specialist sets. I'm not to keen on just having one set unlocked for that. If you aren't an Enforcers player (or at least mainly), it isn't all that helpful.

Yeah, they were free with DB (at least for the Striker pledge)

If they want to make them free later, it would seem odd to add them for a price now. Though people could re-purpose their pledges, it would still strike me as throwing in unnecessary complications.

Can we expect to see renders of the other terrain modules any time soon? I just got a little windfall and I'm tempted to up my $95 terrain pledge to $285.

The dreadball acrylic counters were first mentioned as a bought option at about $120K,

I can't see when the free KS exclusive set were added into striker as a lot of the old graphics have disappeared from the KS site but I don't think it was much beyond that (?)

they won't be free acrylic is expensive and there's already a lot of expensive stuff.

looks to me like a response to those asking for upgraded counters

It was at 100k when they added wildcard: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1744629938/dreadball-the-futuristic-sports-game/posts/297962

I'd like the counters, but for 20 I'd rather spend a bit more and grab an extra battlezone, at least at this point in time. They want to toss in some free counters at a later point for strike level and up, cool. For now, I'll wait and see how everything plays out before I worry about it.

This is promising that they are finally getting to the planning of concept art matching design *AND* pose. One of the problems is the concept art not only waivers from the design, but then gets a terrible pose. I really feel like the standard for other companies has been to concept art the pose as well and then the sculptor has zero latitude and has to implement exactly what the art shows. It makes a better product (IMHO) so if they are going to begin showing concepts with poses and mold breakdown in place, they can remove that worry from sculptors who seem weak on those fronts.
