Yeah, too bad. I was on the fence and decided to hold back b/c of KD and the minis only being okay, but these look way nicer. If I'd seen these, I'd have been much more likely to spring for it...

I sorta knew the minis would look good based on MERCS sci-fi efforts, which basically look like they could be used in Infinity.

Pretty pleased with these greens.

Have they ever mentioned who's doing the sculpting?

I had assumed it was by whoever was doing MERCS. Based on those figures it makes sense for Myth's to look just as nice in the end.

It's going to be interesting to see how much needs to be put together. I know MERCS mentioned they'd have a lot of it as single pieces or prebuilt with the exception of the larger models... but you're looking at 140+ models if you pledged at captain. Woe to those of you who pledge even higher!

I'm going to have to find a good small scale skirmish rule set to use with all these guys and those slaughterfield tiles (that is if MERCS doesn't come up with one first). With 10- 30+ models of each race (depending on how you pledge), captains, mini- bosses and bosses you've got a nice little team to field against one of the other races.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

To cincydooley's point

Most of the "models" shown on the main page were pshops of the WIP sculpts. Only the nids ans two heroes were near final.

You had to dig into the updates to see more WIP shots, and If you used the MERCS previous work as an example, you would have expected this type of final result.

To be entirely honest, no, these WIP sculpts are a league at least above their current sculpting work, which is always a good thing, but MERC minis were never that good in detail.

I assumed Keith would be doing the sculpting, but definitely ask this question in the updates!

Song of Blades and Heroes comes to mind for a skirmish game. I'm also going for the Dwarven Forge tiles, and SoBaH has a Song of Gold and Darkness for dungeoncrawls:

http://deepdarkdungeons.blogspot.com/2012/08/into-deep-dark.html

Went with Captain, $100 for 160+ miniatures. That's enough for me.

Also, it looks like it's easy to make fanmade stuff. Mini-bosses and minions look to have a single card that's not shuffled in a deck. That means I can use my other 28mm figures for this game!

I have to disagree. The previous models were just below the standard quality of your normal infinity mini, and only barely. If you put them side by side in a photo with some infinity minis, someone that didn't know about MERCs would just assume they were part of the infinity line.

We cannot all have the same opinion, for me the details were less and softer, the posing more awkward and the overall design less intricate, plus the models were more bulky.

The sculpting details they do on Myth is way above what they did on the merc sculpts.

I definitely would've pledged if I'd seen those sculpts sooner, I wasn't very impressed with the ones on the main kickstarter page, and in the end decided I wasn't sold enough on the rules to pledge just for them... *sigh*

Hey guys, Update #60 might be of interest to a few of you:

Pledge Manager Wave #1

Update #60 · May 9, 2013 · 33 comments
The pledge manager is ready for the first group of backers. We are going to start slowly, if you don't mind. We want to make sure everything is in order and makes sense.

Friday, May 10 we'll invite the Acolyte and Archer levels. You will receive the email around 2:00 EST.

There will be tech support on hand for immediate issue resolution. In addition, there will be an email provided to ask questions, offer a critique, or just let us know how your felt the pledge manager went.

If everything goes smoothly, the next wave will be seven days later. Wave #2 will be MUCH larger, possibly the entirety of Apprentice or Captain (depending on how the first 50 go). We'll put out another update shortly before the second wave detailing how things have gone, although I suspect there will be plenty of information floating out there. During this second wave of invites, anyone interested in getting in on Myth who missed the KS will be invited to join via the pledge manager. Be watching the updates next week to know for sure.

On another note, which of the add-ons aren't included at all in $150 Apprentice? I'm finding it a little confusing right now...

How can I get in on this during Wave #2?

Will they be posting further instructions and a link so we can jump on?

@Azazelx: Add-ons not included in Apprentice level...

Spriggan
Spriggan Sleeves
Skald
Skald Sleeves
Agents of Darkness
Elemental Boss
Treasure Bags
Treasure Deck Expansion
Item Card Sleeves
Quest Expansion I
Regular Sized Card Sleeves
Hero T-Shirt
Battlefoam Inserts
6x6 Tile Supplement (these are new tiles that transition from the different tiles more cleanly)
Sculpted Lairs (You get one set, but if you have you, you can fight two of the same monster type on a tile without using the cardboard tile)
All of the Metal Minis

Hope that helps!

@Alpharius: That's what it sounds like! Or at the least an email to send a request to get the pledge manager to.

All I know is what was posted in the comments. I'd suggest keeping an eye on the comments page, and if I hear anything not written there, I'll pass it on.

thanks, recruittons. I'll have to work out what I want and how much I'm willing/able to pay for extras. How many cards worth do the sleeve packs include?

I also want to know this as I really wanted to but the initial timing was bad for me, but now not so much.

Here's a quote from one of the updates I received through email...

If you missed the KS and messaged me about getting in the pledge manager, we'll square you away when we launch the pledge manager. You'll be able to add additional items, increase pledge level, and confirm your order.

This leads me to believe that those who missed out on the Kickstarter, can still join in on it once the Pledge Manager is up and running. What stretch goals and such are available for those people is I think unknown. I'm unable to find any information specifically about that.

Wave #1 has been sent out for the Pledge Manager though. Basically those who did Alcolyte and Archer level get first dibs. Once they see what bugs come up, and things run smoothly, the next wave will be 7 days later. So this Friday?

EDIT: As I typed and read the email, I think it answers all your questions. Let me quote the entirety of the email for you.

I think you need to actually email the gentleman through the KS site, and request your email be added to the pledge manager when it goes live. Sounds like you can get in on it then.

Hope that helps!

Project Update #63: Pledge Manager Wave #2
Posted by MERCS Miniatures

The second wave of invites have gone out for the pledge manager. It is the whole of the Apprentice level backers.

To those invited, please register within the next few days. We haven't had any issues since the initial launch and those were minor. This represents a very large chunk of people. If we have no issues, EVERYONE else will be invited in the next few days, including those wanting to get in who missed the Kickstarter.

If you are an Apprentice backer and didn't get a message from me, then you should check your junk folder.

Latest update out today. Pledge manager is live apparently.

Posted by MERCS Miniatures
Every backer has been invited now. We have every server available to us active and have streamlined the initial email system. Regardless, we expect the first few hours after this invite to be very heavy traffic and the site to be slower.

There is only one bug that bears specific mention. We think we have fixed it, but time will tell. Of the 1300 Apprentice backers invited, 900 have finalized their order, 10 were charged double. If it appears you are going to be charged double, please email mythsupport@prattwebdesign.com before finalizing your order. We were able to refund the initial four within 24 hours, but didn't get enough data to solve the problem. The last three gave us a decent amount of info and we think we fixed it.

For those that missed the Kickstarter, there will be an open invitation sent out in an update tomorrow!

Now that EVERYONE has been invited, if you didn't get an email, please go to www.mythboardgame.com and follow these directions.

1. REQUEST A PASSWORD. You will find a link of the same name in the orange box welcoming you to the page. Click the link. It will takes you to a page that has a "User account" header and a space to input an email address. It is very important that the email provided here is the SAME email you used to pledge on Kickstarter.

2. LOG IN. The email you receive provides you with a one-time use link. Don't worry. You will be setting up a new password once you log in. If for some reason there is an issue, you can request another password.

3. CONFIRM ADDRESS. After you log in, you will be automatically directed to the "Confirm Address" tab. Here you will provide your address for shipping and change your password to something of your choosing. From here on out, you will log in with your email/username and the password you create here.

Once again, if you have any issues, comments or suggestions, please email mythsupport@prattwebdesign.com .

The email says that there will be an open invitation sent out tomorrow for those that missed the Kickstarter. I'll keep an eye on my email and post any updates that I see.

My big issue now is to figure out how much additional money I want to spend on all the extras!
