Malodrax, by Ben Counter, a Space Marine Battles novel, is up on iBooks...
this is the book that i was hoping for with Seventh Retribution, Lysander's capture, and escape, from the clutches of the Iron Warriors...
i'm really looking forward to this bit of backstory, and not a bad deal at $7.99...
Stormseer is up as well, but i'm not as excited by novellas as i am full length novels...
There is Only War is up, too...
over 1,000 pages of short stories collected together for $11.99...
hard to tell which stories i already have, though, with all the ways to get eShorts these days...
cheers

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Does anybody know if there will be a non special edition for us plebians?
The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.
Back to the 2 years wait for this sort of thing from what can be gleaned from Facebook and the like.

As it's a comic and based on the covers it looks to match up with the forgeworld horus heresy campaign books they've done.

Assuming he isn't some sort of freakish midget, looks to be on a par with the FWHH books as mentioned.

Seems that with every copy of the special edition graphic novel one also receives a free e-book " The Wolf of Ash and Fire" which delves into the past, prior to the HH, and concerns a time when Horus and the Emperor fought side by side on the ork held planetoid of Gorro.

How nice of them to include a $5 e-book for free if you buy the $120 comic book.
Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?
I've a few of the absolute comic books that aren't exactly cheap and if this is the same standard (the collected visions was) then I don't mind paying a premium.

I never said there wasn't a market of buyers for it.
TBL enjoys a very captive and easy target audience, which is why they can publish garbage for two years and still get away with new limited editions at inflated prices.

Lol.. he's not a midget unless you're referring to the parody farseer version of him converted back in 3rd edition after the too cheesey for it's tie eldar codex came out. The hate for him back in the day rivals that of Matt Ward currently.

Read the Straken synopsis, looks interesting, but then I saw the on-site blurb and really? It's just like the other novels: Evil commissar who doesn't agree with how a regiment rolls, regimental rivalry, a fight against all odds, yadda yadda.

A Great Hunt has been called, and Kor’sarro Khan, Master of the Hunt, gathers the White Scars for war. They shall track their prey across the galaxy, never resting until his head is taken to be displayed in the Chapter’s fortress-monastery on distant Chogoris. But this prey will be a challenge, for he is as fast and as cunning as the sons of Jaghatai, and as deadly a foe as the khan has ever faced. For on this Great Hunt, the White Scars seek the daemon prince known only as Doomrider.

I can state with 100% confidence that many of the authors and a fair few of the BL editorial/publishing team are well aware of the existence of such.
.. Probably best to wait until payday -- which is a mere 3 thousand and thirty seven years away... alas.... -- to purchase this, been digging Mr Reynolds work a lot.....
.... so this is nothing to be sniffed at .

As word of Horus’s treachery spreads to fully half of the Legiones Astartes, Terra looks to the remaining loyalist Space Marines to defend the Imperium. One group, however, remains curiously silent in spite of apparent efforts from both sides to contact them – the noble Vth Legion, Jaghatai Khan’s fearsome White Scars. In the ork-held territory of Chondax, a bitter war has been raging since the Triumph at Ullanor, and only now do the sons of Chogoris return their gaze to the heavens...

It's so sad to see BL fall like this, with the overpriced hardcover for this time only limited edition bullcrap. I remember the good old days of the paperbacks being released monthly. There was always something new to read each month. Now I haven't read a BL book in months because there's just nothing.

It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Yes, we know, inthe iPad or overpriced oversized. I have an iPad, but don't like reading off of it, and I dislike paying extra for the oversized books or limited edition novellas. I have just picked up and read angel exterminated and betrayer after waiting for the paperback small version though.
