Spikey Bits comes through for me again, I just got a nice little pile of brand new Tau models in the mail today: Broadsides, Riptides, Pathfinders and a Sunshark Bomber. If you're having trouble finding Tau models elsewhere, try this:

I ordered mine before the release and I'm still waiting on them to come in

Everybody else has theirs already because they bought them at GW.

The Games Workshop Bowie Battle Bunker just got a bit of restock of Firewarriors, Riptides, Pathfinders and Crisis Suits. They also have Tau Codex books. If you're in the area you might want to stop by and snag what you want before it's gone again.

My FLGS has only 3 bomber boxes and one fireblade. That's it! They didn't even have any troops on the wall when I finally went by to grab a dex.

Brass Scorpion I think you are kind of missing the point, the problem is that the LGS retailers don't have any. I don't play at GW (they also don't have space in their one man shop). I play at a LGS and I want to support them with my money but it really sucks when all the other people are buying the models across town at GW then coming into the LGS and using the models there. The owner has been polite about it but I know he's very frustrated as each one of those models represents a batch of lost sales.

Its close to 3 weeks since release date and he hasn't been able to get any of the new Tau units in store, yet there's at least a half dozen players that have entirely new armies. He doesn't want to ban the players but when they are playing instore its an obvious loss of several grand and it has to be gnawing at him. I really want to help support where I play but the delay is very unfair when the nearby GW has gotten at least 3 seperate restocks.

I'm honestly looking at cancelling my order and using that money for other gaming stuff, I've been eyeing some pathfinder rpg books for a while.

No, you missed the point. I was simply alerting people in my area to the fact that there were new Tau models once again available at a local store and I believe I was successful at doing that. There are quite a few people in my area with Dakkadakka accounts.

And by the way, though some of the Tau stuff was sold today, GW Bowie, MD still had a couple Riptides and some other Tau models at the end of the day today. Store hours on Sunday are noon to 6 PM.

I finally got my hands on a couple of the new Broadsides. The instruction booklet looks like a photocopy. If they are rushing things through production so fast fast right that they are photocopying stuff, their whole line about protecting their brand image just went out the window IMO.

If you do, please tell GW about it. GW would deserve to know why you decided to do this, if you did, and more customer feedback is better than less.

Kirasu: Have we fallen so far that we are excited that GW is giving us the opportunity to spend 58$ for JUST the rules? Surprised it's not "Dataslate: Assault Phase"

I can't help but wonder if the ongoing logistical issues might be in some way related to GW's reduced production capacity.

They're stagnant economic performance, but rising prices indicated for some time that sales were declining. Memphis, as far as we know, was closed, as was all but their print production in China, and who knows if there's been some scaling back in England. It may well be that GW expected the continuing trend to hold, forgetting how popular Tau were back in the day, and simply lack the capacity now to produce enough of them. This ongoing demand will also, if production is the issue, impact future releases as they work through the backlog.

I hesitate to draw any conclusions off my own FLGS; they have some logistical issues of their own, and under-order almost everything, which means almost everything except marines is continuously out of stock, but I've heard rumblings that other products are becomming harder to actually get from GW. They seem to be getting most of their Tau (save codexes, haven't seen one in a while, but the piles of new Tau kits are constantly shifting in size week to week), but more run of the mill stuff isn't coming; they've been flat out told Manticores are no longer available to them, and when they order things like 3x Cadian boxes, or Fire Warriors or Necron Warriors, they get one of each.

I also know the single GW store in the province is pretty understocked as well; it's a big deal on their facebook page when they say they get a single riptide, amongst other things. It seems the GW logistical system is really reeling, and it's affecting more than just Tau.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.
