@HBMC: So the last one would need 3 more blank tiles?

I also am hoping for the 90 degree turn for this, once you start making these style tables that tile is the most important one!

Not to sure about the first one, but the second one is nice

As I said, they are basic layouts. You've seen heaps more in that file I sent you yesterday. I've done about twice as many since then.

The squares with the dotted lines are the 4 extra foundation tiles from the display pack. None of those layouts use all the tiles, although with the tiles I'm ordering I can cover my 5x6 table and even make a 6x6 table (although with so many t-junctions and x-sections it looks a little silly).

Those mock ups are great HBMC, I've gone shared the image in the Kickstarter comments.

I've got about 20 more mock ups as well. I'll see if I can put something together when I get home.

New Update

Update #43 · May 7, 2013 · comment

This is the first render for the damaged "Urban Streets" tile set -- and while I'm happy to post it, I won't share the language from the designer that accompanied it. It turns out that creating a lot of subtle, organic cracking and textures is hard work... BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT! You can see now why there was a delay in getting this render -- because this is a factory ready file and a good representation of what this tile will look like.

Take note that while clearly damaged, and a nice compliment to our "Urban Streets" base theme, the tile is still reasonably flat to allow for easy game play.

Of course there has also been work on some of the "Urban Streets" scatter terrain -- including this Security Barrier. It measures 2" wide (perfect for the sidewalk - or to use with a 6" straight wall to block a road!) and has a firing point built into it.

And someone wanted to see the concepts for the "Rolling Fields" wall/fortification set, and a sampling of the scatter terrain, and here it is! Rough-hewn stone, boulders, a bridge to span the creek, low walls... PERFECT for your fantasy, historical, or backwater sci-fi games!
BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

One of the things we've been working on in the shadows are the edge clips for your Tablescapes Tiles... and here they are!

This is part of the investment being made outside of this campaign -- and there's still more to share! The folks at Wargames Factory came up with the idea of inter-locking risers to keep the tiles separated -- instead of having to include spacers in multiple sizes -- and they're working on some designs for us! It just gets better and better, and we haven't even closed the campaign yet!

There are four full days to go, and we're ramping up to give you all of the new renders and concepts we can in that time. "Ruined Temple" is the next theme to unlock, and it is absolutely within reach.

WE CAN DO THIS! GO! GO! GO!

Those cracks on the road are Sweet! Hope we can get some of that in the Ruined Temple display board, too

Heck, take the same exact cracks as that tile, and apply them to a cobblestone tile for the temple. Done and done!

A table with just those cracks and some flat stones and no urban things would be the perfect table for almost everything!

Man, I made the right decision on this one. Just so I'm clear, since I'm getting the wargamer, I can get 1 set of damaged and one set of clean streets, and I'm good to go, no?

Yes, you'll be able to choose between Clean, Ruined, or Mixed.

What's the tile layout for the mixed urban 16 tile set? Do you get both the damaged and undamaged version of the checkpoint and liftgate (basically, one of each unique tile), or is it opted to get more regular roads for more balanced layouts?

It'll be embarrassing if that bridge doesn't span the river sections on the rolling hills tiles.

I've relayed your question into the comments, when I have an answer I'll make sure to post it.

It should span the creek

Yes, the 16 tile mixed set will include one of each tile.

@ HBMC -- don't worry, we'll be fine

Uuuhhh... I assumed those were the clean urban tiles. They are a spitting image of the streets in Montreal, and there hasn't been a war here in, well, ever. I wonder if getting the "clean" tiles will look to unrealistic to my eyes.

The streets in Montreal must be worse than even the ones in Baltimore and that's saying something! (We've been ranked anywhere from 10th to 3rd worst in the US...)

Okay, I know I don't live up there but I took a trip to Toronto last year. It did NOT look like that although it was very different than I expected!

Okay. I've upped my pledge from a token $1 to Mini-Wargamer to get a 4x6 board. I'm looking at the ruined city tiles now (what a surprise, eh?) and can only hope the rolling hills look just as nice. Either way, getting a hard plastic board at 2/3 the cost of GW's (and none of the stupid skull pits) is a win in my book.

I love getting up in the morning and seeing things like that cracked tile.

Will the damaged urban tiles just be a cut/paste of the clean tiles but with damaged added in or will there be differences?

This is pretty much what made me pledge. That and i was hoping for a trench board.

Do you know if it is possible to get a mixed 'clean' and 'ruined' Urban board at the 4' x 6' level?

at 4x6 you can choose 16 of one type and 8 of the other but not 12 and 12.

In that case, I'm very tempted... just have to figure out how to fit this in, along with Robotech and Deadzone!

Well obviously you budget for this and Robotech this month, and worry about Deadzone in next month's budget

This is a VERY poor time period for me to take a drastic cut in pay (retiring from active duty), and for my wife to be getting very few hours, all while trying to get state certification and start a new business. So many nifty Kickstarters, too much drop in income.
