i think for what it was the review was decent. Theres only so much you can do when your doing a review with 1 tile

My review was a minute long, and only had 1 tile I haven't watched it, I was just goofing around. I'm sure the Spikybits review is far more in depth than, "hey here is how this sounds when I roll dice on it."

How thin (and sturdy) will the straight river tiles be in the end? Consider that it'll be a very thin bit of plastic running right up the centre of the tile. Wouldn't that weaken it considerably, allowing it to bend at that point?

Only if it didn't have the concentric circles underneath. That makes it much harder for that to happen.

There is a early bird display board up for grabs.

Please someone take it before i'm forced to.

Okay, rolling fields looks amazing.

Don't quite have the cash for both that and the deadzone board I'm already in for at the moment, but I'll be buying the hell out of that on retail release.

River was one of the things I wanted, and that is a very nicely done river indeed.

Should look totally awesome once painted and filled with clear resin.

Hopefully it turns out popular enough for a hill expansion in future.

*sigh*

I'll have to pick up the rolling fields when they hit retail.

Setting up a new business, even one with low startup costs, means I have to cut some things back, so just one mini-wargamer for me.

"Ruined Temple" Walls & Scatter
Update #52 · May 11, 2013 · 2 comments

Before I wander away from the computer for a little while, and pretend that I'm going to sleep during the final 15 hours of the campaign, I thought I'd leave you with a quick taste of the "Ruined Temple" scatter terrain, and the wall/fortification concepts.

This was our first rough look at the scatter terrain. A broken crypt/altar, and a column with a bit of statue. While we still like both ideas they've gotten their first conceptual upgrade....

This is still early for the concept stage -- for instance those stairs will probably be 3" or 6" wide so they work with the foundation tiles in a nice way -- but you can see the first of the wall/fortification set. Note the small interior stones just visible from the top and sides, with the large dressed stone on the front. Of course you can use the "Rolling Fields" walls if you prefer the rough stone look, but now you'll have options. AND WE LOVE OPTIONS!

Like the other themes the full set of walls will include 2x straight walls, 1x T junction, 1x 90* bend, 1x 45* bend, 2x endcap, and 1x gate (3+ pieces). You can see video of the "Scrap Yard" and "Urban Streets" walls on the main page of the campaign.

We're in the final stretch now -- and funding today has only been beaten by the first two days! We're so close to unlocking the complete "Ruined Temple" set that it has already been assigned to the production calendar. We just need to make this last push!

I'll be back in the morning for the COMMENT EXPLOSION! and to count down the minutes until we can officially say that the Tablescapes Tiles campaign has been a roaring success!

14 Hours And Counting....

As we hit the final stretch of this campaign now is an excellent time to get your pledge amount finalized.

Our handy Pledge Calculator is still live and includes all of the official Kickstarter campaign add-on items. You'll need to click through, and save a copy, before you'll be able to edit it to reflect your list of goodies.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao3sUUJAALFodFE2WWpVWTJXQmd4endLSTFJMkpsUEE&usp=sharing

Of course we're still waiting on a few items, like the Display Board border frame as an add-on, and while those aren't listed here now you WILL have access to them in the pledge manager after the campaign. Sooner if we get pricing before the campaign closes....

And now here's to unlocking the complete "Ruined Temple" set and another great theme for the Tablescapes Tiles!

It'll be close, but I'm still confident it'll either pass the goal or at least make it to the 'Close Enough' point.

So lemme see if i've got this right.

There are 5 unlocked themes. Each takes roughly 6 months to produce give or take. So people who want the rolling fields and lost temple are gonna be waiting upwards of 2 years. Correct?

No, it takes about 6 months, but more then one is worked on at a time.

From the FAQ
Is October the anticipated delivery for the ALL of the unlocked themes?

No. We anticipate a six month production window from concept to delivery on each new theme, but much of this work will happen concurrently. For instance with the "Scrap Yard" renders nearly finished we can start on "Urban Streets" while the Kickstarter is still running. Ideally it should take no more than one year to deliver on all 4 major themes, and both minor themes, if they all get unlocked. The biggest challenge is that it can take as long as 100 hours to mill ONE of the 12x12" molds because of how detailed we've made the tiles.

Major Themes: Scrapyard, Urban Streets, Ruined Temples, Trenches
Minor Themes: Rolling Hills, Desert

Aye, and Trenches and Desert are likely not going to fund. "This is a Good Thing"

It'll likely speed production up of the other 4 sets.

Wow, looks like some tool paid a dollar so he could make nothing but negative comments on the KS. Is this normal or would there be some other reason? Did Secret Weapon beat him to the punch?
