o im thinking about getting the digidex anyone think this book ISNT worth it?
iv been thinking about taking them as allies... a team of 3 broadsides as AA.. how does skyfire on these chappies work? is it just the main weapon thats getting it or is it all weapons? is it the full unit or just the commander etc etc...
and just to add what may be a dumb question... they are loading broadsides out with 3 weapons, main, SMS and seeker missile.... can it use more than 1 per turn?

Hey i may have missed it or perhaps you mistook that you already wrote out the stats for rail rifles (you probably thought it was the heavy rail rifles at a glance). I could be wrong but i think when i glanced the book at GW they were strength 6 ap 1 or 2 but i don't know the entire stat-line. I do seem to remember them being heavy weapons though.

I think of buying a Commander of some sort
2 more crisis suits to the one i already have.
2 or 3 boxes with fire warriors
2 or 3 Devilfish
3 broadsides
this would be my "starting set" at least, is it viable ?
Drop the broadsides. They're no longer capable of performing the role of antitank.
Now for anti-tank you need either a flyer(Imperial guard), suicide pirahnas(land raiders), or Riptide with Heavy Burst Cannon(Necrons with Quantum Shielding).

Here is a question that got brought up in another thread.
For the interceptor drones on the Sunshark bomber, BEFORE they are detached, are they going to work as turrets (and therefore fire at full BS) or as passengers (and therefore only snap fire because the flier is always zooming)?
The latter, but have Skyfire and Interceptor anyway so it's largely irrelevant.
I would argue otherwise, as the drones are far to vulnerable once they disembark. Its is a shame, if they could fire at full BS while still attached, the Sunshark would have been a halfway decent flier.
The value of the Drones depends on exactly how Interceptor works. If they can intercept at full BS after the flyer moves full speed, than they are very valuable indeed. Otherwise, the bomber is limited to 18" a turn in order to use their blast templates.

Who wrote the book? What are some general ideas for builds now?

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

dawnblade is now S user ap2 armourbane and is pretty bog standard actually, he unlocks the 7 man crisis unit, that is about it.
Also the fact that there are no army list restrictions.

One other question, flamers or heavy flamers on crisis suits?

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!
