Very nice updates, thanks for sharing!

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

I build IG...lots and lots of IG.

Notes from my conversations with sculptors/painters:
Simon Egan is making Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus
Fulgrim is finished and almost done having a mold made
Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus will be sold separately with a base available as well for the duel
Mock-up of FM has been done
Darren Parwood is going to do a personal project of a mass 5 or 6 Tau battle suit he's been working on for a while.
Kdaai Destroyer has been sculpted, is currently having a mold made which will take a while as it has many pieces, and will be th last Chaos Dwarf model for s fair while.
The next WF book "Blackfire Pass" has been put on hold due to HH, Steve Whitehead was not impressed.
Fellglaive Tank has a Volkite cannon.
All legions will eventually get their own specific elite unit, similar to the ravagers.
Sons of Horus Reavers are on display
Emperor's Children Palantine Blades
Word Bearers Ashen Host
Salamanders Pyroclasts will have large leather/scale fire cloaks as protection.
One of the painters/designers is pushing quite hard for a feudal Japan theme for Salamanders with everyone being adept at making their gear.

Anyone else from Dakka still here? I'm next to the entrance to Bugman's from the sales hall. (Inside Bugman's)

Also I've got about 50 photos of new models and its taking a long time just to upload 10 of them, not sure if theyve already been shown.

Good news, but size 5-6 is odd, smaller than Crisis Suits? I would have expected a good looking variant of the Riptide. Or a flyer conversion.

Bad news for me, but unavoidable I guess. At least keeps them from making new baneblade variants

Salamanders? Why? We know exactly how Salamanders look. It's like pushing the studio to make Dark Angels with Waikiki Shirts and 10-gallon hats

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Are they doing a talk this year, and if so, who is ready to film it for us?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks
-----
"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Not as in stylisation, but in theme, so all of them are warriors able to spend all day in the forge making a weapon.
Though I believe he may have wanted to have a banner style similar to the Dire Avengers exarch

FW open days are my favorite day of the 40k calendar! Everything is looking excellent, loving the new fellblade and all the new infantry stuff!

Very interesting new land speeder, loving how much it matches up with the bikes and jetbikes. I am interested in why they chose to go with an entirely new design for them though. Perhaps one of my fellow dakkites, should they come across one of the designers, could ask them why they went for the original designs over working from the ancient GW ones? I for one liked it when they revamped kits such as the old land raider and the rapier. Granted they didn't have much to work with in the LS area seeing as the original one was essentially a sofa with engines...

Even still, Blacksmithery/weapon artisan plus stocism strikes me as more Germanic than Japanese, that style of backbanner would be very out of place even on White Scars (the only East Asian themed chapter) imo.

According to Darren Parrwood, it was a deliberate design decision to show the variety of patterns that were around during the Heresy.

Incidentally, he would like to see a revamp of the flying sofa, but he isn't giving any guarantees that it will happen.

Size of suits. In the XVnumbering system, the first number gives the size. So the old stealth suits (XV15) are the smallest, then the new stealth suits (XV25) then the crisis suits (XV8s) and their variants, then the Riptide (XV104). So this new one would be between a Stealth suit and a Crisis suit in size.

I kind of hope it's an ally alien race suit type thing. Perhaps Vespid, Kroot or something else. Excited regardless.

As much as I'm a huge fan of the 30k, I'm really interested on the WHFB book as to when that is coming out.

It's getting harder and harder to resist a 30k army now

Void_Walker, I did ask about the WHFB book, as I want more Dwarves - it seems to be on hold at the minute, and I could not get Mark Bedford to give me an estimate.

He did say they were planning another modelling book, though, possibly based around the Heresy.

I'm leaving now, so I'll get pictures up when I get home.

Any word on new IG/Imperial Navy stuff? Are DKoK getting any models with the new book or just new rules? If anyone bought the book and read it already can you give a quick summary of the new DKoK rules?

Darren Parwood is going to do a personal project of a mass 5 or 6 Tau battle suit he's been working on for a while.

Tell us more!

WIP's of Contemptor weapons:

Any idea what these are, especially the tank bits next to them? Are these just showing off WIP versions of stuff we've already seen, or are they new Contemptor weapons and some kind of new Centaur variant?

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Lmao no way. What a wasted oppertunity. We could have had an amazing C'tan model. A new superheavy, anything!.

Instead, the only TRULY new thing that isn't a rehash of a codex unit or something that was released previously is:

Sentry Pylon (even at that it's just a scaled down pylon)
Tomb Citadel
2 Unique lords (assuming they get a model)

Also, seems FW hired the best Fantasy sculpors ... to do double shifts making SM shoulder pads and Rhino doors

Yeah, this is a bit disappointing. Where's the abattoir and the aeonic orb? Those are an old part of necron lore, and they don't even get models or rules (outside of epic, anyway).

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that FW is finally paying attention to necrons, but still.
