So, I just wanted to hear you guys' experiences of the game. Like when my brother managed to roll six 6s in a row to blow up the FLGS manager's Shadowsword with a Deff Dread's kustom mega blasta! (Store manager has never forgiven him since... ) Or Abaddon and 10 Terminators get a deepstrike mishap that kills them all (Chaos gods- 'No battle for you.') Or 120 Ork Boyz, Zogwort and Ghazkull getting an 'Ere We Go! on the psychic powers chart and scattering over one of my Tactical Marines...

DW knights and one tactical marine won a combat against a 20 man legion tactical squad that had a preatorian in, and the one marine that could sweep was in there.

That one tactical marine went berserk and chased down 12 sons of horus and the praetorian for me he got terminator honors after the game!

I had 10 Terminators vs my 10 Termagants and a Zoanthrope.

Since we rolled the kill point mission he wanted to kill the Zoan bad. He never did and it made all its saves for 3 rounds and I killed every last terminator.

I lost not a single bug. Was epic. Kill the gants 1st lol.

Tournament Game 3rd edition. Dark Angel player drops his Deathwing army right in front of my Shooty Imperial Guard Army From Hell. At the end of my next turn all he had left was a dread and a char in power armor left. He was a good sport about it though.

Big unit of Chaos Termies, w/ a Lord with Twin LC & TDA, that would smash one of my tac squads during a relic game scattered into terrain, mishaped, and preceded to roll a , everyone in the GW store, even the manager laughed our heads off, even the CSM player (which was my brother, wolfmerc). The game went down hill for him after that, but it was still a fun game.

My most recent game had a hilarious effort put in by one of my Carnifexes.

Turn 3 it arrives in my friends Dark Eldar backline. After disappointingly missing his Warlords Raider with my Tyrannofex (note - This Tyrannofex is not a Tervigon, that game was its last chance to perform), the Mycetic Spore managed a champion effort and destroyed it with its Ripper Tentacles.

The Raider was carrying a full compliment of Wyches and a Succubus, his Warlord. 5 Wyches died in the explosion. The Carnifex unleashed its Devourers into the squad to finish it off, but only resulted in 2 dead Wyches and the Succubus. The unit broke.

My opponents turn, my Mycetic Spore was shielding my Carnifex from some Hellions, so my opponent unleashed their Carbines on that and... failed to kill it. It got finished off by Bloodbrides shooting it, who then attempted to charge my Carnifex and failed the charge distance.

My next turn, my Carnifex unloaded its Devourers on the Hellions, taking them down to a man. Since my Flyrant finished off the Bloodbrides, my Carnifex, failing its Instinctive Behaviour test, wanted some Rage fun, so charged the last Hellion and tore it apart.

My opponents next turn, his last full squad of Wyches, with Duke Slyscus in tow, turned their attention on the Carnifex. They charged it, and in the best Overwatch shooting I've ever done, dropped Slyscus with 1 shot and a failed Shadowfield save. While the Wyches ended up actually killing the Carnifex, that bugger did far more damage than it had any right to. About 1/3 of my friends army went down to that thing over 3 turns, and required a lot of his army to double back to help out. Considering he would have easily overrun my objective if he hadn't, job well done Mr Carnifex.

So back in 3rd, when GW still ran events where Redshirts would come out to gaming stores and run mega battles, there was an event called "The Sleeper Wakens" which was the kickoff for the Necron codex.

The rules were "Bring a 500 pt army, and join in with a bunch of other players against a massive Necron army being run by the redshirts.

I didn't realize that the 500 pt army didn't have to be legal, so I looked into the nastiest 500 pt army you could have at the time:

Avatar
2x5 Guardians
2xWraithlord w/Starcannon
1xWraithlord w/Shuriken Cannon

I got into the battle halfway through, when a Tau player let his side collapse and left the game, with 2 Monoliths and a unit of Destroyers dominating his side of the board.

I walk in, and the Guardians just form a conga line cheering on the MCs. Wraithlords were able to walk on, and immediately immobilize a Monolith with melee attacks. The Avatar was able to charge the Destroyers, and force them to break. I then leave one WL at the first Monolith to break it to pieces while the other two go on to immobilize the second one the same way. I end the game with all 3 WL and the Avatar tied up in close combat with a massive swarm of Scarabs.

Unfortunately, the non-Necron forces ended up losing in the long run (the tzeentch sorcerer with the relic needed to "win" got tied up with a massive scarab swarm I just couldn't break him out of), but when we did the following "rematch" I had made such an impression that I ended up tanking the entire Necron force for several turns, and even then I still managed to do a lot of damage before I lost my last WL.

My best moment was in a four way free for all with a king of the hill objective. So this about turn 5 stuffs going down and farsight bomb comes in and basically clears the entire hill. All except for my Lone Wolf in terminator armor. I fogure he might as well go out in a blaze of glory so he charges in kills two drones. The tau player proceeds to hit and wound fifteen times! My Lone Wolf makes every single save except for one. I win combat he rolls leadership and ends up rolling box cars! He flees and to add insult to injury he flees straight off the board.

TLDR: lone wolf charges and routs 900 points of farsight bomb tau.

A unit of Grey Knight Terminators attempt to charge my sister of battle squad. My sister superior takes out her two plasma pistols, overheats, dies and puts the enemy unit out of charge range.

I love the Plasma sister killing herself and stopping the charge. Knowing those fanatics she probably shot her self or over heated them on purpose. SoBs are crazy.

I did that to myself. I shot at 10 terminators I was going to charge w/ 10 Termagants to keep him from going for the objective on his last turn. I hit 8 times and wounded 7 and he failed 4 saves. I failed the charge b/c of the missing Terminators and he took the objective and won. He didn't even bother to shoot at the Gants.

Who would think 10 Gants could even kill 4 Terminators in 1 turn. Normally I'd have been thrilled.

Nosey, ain't ya?

My most recent one was against Daemons. My Crusader Squad, complete with Solomon, The Emperor's Champion that has previously single-handedly killed 55 Guardsmen, a LRBT, a Primaris Psyker and a couple of Ogryns; charge A Bloodletter squad with Skulltaker. Solomon Challenges Skulltaker and the pair of them fight. Skulltaker fails to take Solomon's Skull, so Solomon takes his.

Skulltaker killed in a duel. With the Emperor's Champion. In 1 round of combat.

In a game I watched, a leman russ tank shocked a lone guardsman armed with a melta gun. He decided to stand and shoot. No more leman russ

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Back in 4th edition i got a 10man squad of human Tau Aux with EMP's surrounded a Landraider filled with GK terminators and blocked all the entrances. Auto killed everyone inside. Less than 100 pt squad took out 600 in 1 assault phase!...8 years later and thats probably still my highpoint fighting against GK...said times

Oh yeah, another one:

My first game of 6th, using a Vulkan SM list against the 5th ed chaos codex. I end up with my TH/SS terminators in close combat with a squad of plague marines and his bike lord. His lord challenges, and I accept on my terminator sergeant.

My sergeant wins the challenge when the lord rolls a 1 for his daemon weapon and takes off his last wound.

(I still lost in the long run though).

That has happened to my GKs' and it was chokka full of my 10 marines fresh for the fight. Needless to say the 3 6's my opponent rolled killed cost me about 400 points of men.

Still I can't complain in turn 1 of the same game I used a boomgun which got snake eyes, so didn't scatter and wiped out all but 2 of a devastator squad, a few from another squad and rolled a 6 and a 6 to blow up a vindicator which then wounded a few marines with it's explosion.
