The Tau are too young to understand the truth of monodominance.

I think humans are too, the only ones that truly understand it are necrons...and they don't share secrets.

Nah, humanity has the experience. Or at least the Emperor did. I don't think anyone can call the Emperor naive, even compared to the Old Ones.

On Farsight's Facebook his relationship status is set to "It's Complicated."
Here's what we know:
Farsight is operating without guidance of the Ethereals and has stopped obeying orders from central command.
Forces with Farsight's markings have attacked reconnaissance drones sent to wards the sector of space he is believed to occupy.
Despite being separated from the Empire for many generations Farsight has access to the latest in Tau technology (apparently even the Riptide which is still a prototype).
Farsight is allegedly still alive despite being centuries old at this point.
Tau with Farsight's markings have appeared with the Empire to assist loyal Tau in battle.
Conclusions that can be drawn:
Farsight has rejected the central authority of the Ethereals, but remains loyal to the Empire overall (but is guided by his own personal vision for the Empire).
Farsight has agents and friends within the Empire who are assisting him.

The emperor was very naïve..he trusted in the love and loyalty of his testube babies.
I still think farsight is mindshackle scarabed...just waiting to join a certain collection when his value reaches a certain collectable level.

That is at least debatable and probably not true at all. My own theory is that the Emperor planned for the HH. I think he made a deal with the Ruinous Powers -- help me make the primarchs and you can whisk them away to the far reaches of the galaxy. As far as I can tell, the Primarchs and the ensuing civil war were cover fire for a bigger plan -- namely, construction of humanity's Webway. Sure, the Emperor's plan did not work BUT it was pretty damn close and that's amazing considering he was up against all four Chaos Gods. Naivete did not play a part. The Imperium has the most to gain by destabilizing the internal structure of Tau society. To me, it seems plausible that Farsight is the product of a radical Ordo Xenos inquisitor and her/his Temple Assassins.

Farsight sounds like the Illusive Man from ME2. "Tau First" So, I expect when the next edition is released, it will be revealed that his blade is really a Reape..er..Daemon weapon that has indoctrin...I mean possessed his mind and severed his connection with the Ethereals. At that point, all Farsight Tau will be synthetics.

Devastating Dark Reaper

I dunno, it seems pretty obvious to me there's supposed to be a Khorne influence on Farsight:
* He's a great warlord who often goes into melee (in a race that never normally does)
* He has a mysterious sword with special power (i.e. a daemon weapon) he received on an abandoned world.
* His armour is painted red.
* Most telling to me is that his bodyguard has a higher max size. Including him, this new maxed size is 8-- khorne's number.
I think it's pretty obvious he's supposed to be influenced by chaos. I think it was a little more obvious in previous versions of the book. I'll look through them tonight to confirm.
