I actually don't present my opinion as fact most of the time. I don't type "IMO" every post, nor should I.
Why wouldn't he? Why would Magnus not address Lorgar as his title when with others? I mean, was Ferrus Manus mocking Fulgrim by referring to him as the Phoenician in Fulgrim?
If Magnus was poking fun at anyone, it would have been Leman Russ, for his dislike of the title and inability to tell Magnus why.

We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. I'd have pick perturabo, although he's not in the polls. Horus'd need someone that was loyal, and perturabo like dorn is doggedly loyal.

V__D is thinking along the same lines here and I took this to mean that Magnus had become a Daemon Prince, perhaps not knowingly. Everything Magnus has done has been preordained, he thinks hes done this himself, but has Tzeentch had a hand in it? Aren't Daemons beings of warp energy after all?
DarthMarko wrote: kronk wrote:2nd in command of his Legion? Abbadon, obviously.
2nd in command of the Evil Crusade Against the Emperor? Lorgar. Probably. He's the only one he could trust to keep Angron inline.
Do you remember how Abby was trolling Alpharious ? He was talking to him like Apharious was IG-s common grunt who didn't clean his rifle....
I was like - what a big pair of ba* ls....
Yeah, but that was with Horus and his Cronies around him. I still think Alpharius could have bitched slapped him across the room. He might be mistakable for an Astartes, but an Astartes he is not.

Always.

Or if all else fails, on your todd, but never Gin .. Gin is bad!

Urizen was the name which Lorgar gave himself (read some William Blake, and the meaning, then you'll get the picture)...
If Magnus and Lorgar were bffl do you think he would adress him like that in front of Russ and Russ told him to shut his pie hole.... ???
Was it a name he gave himself or a name his Sons gave him? The Lupercal part of Horus name is mentioned in Horus Rising to be a pet name given to him by the Luna Wolves, it always puzzled me as to why everyone else started to call Horus, Horus Lupercal.

BIG QFT
Also concerning Abby - wasn't there a catchphrase "To be a captain in LW is being a primarch in others?" Or something similar... IIRC
My point is Abby has a really short fail-tolerance threshold even when concerning primarchs (who are one notch up)....

If Horus had been killed earlier during the Heresy, Magnus perhaps could have taken over but I am not sure that would have been in his nature to do so.
There was too much jealousy among the other primarchs for any one of them to have become the leader by general agreement. The whole enterprise would have fallen apart just as it did after the Emperor killed Horus.

If there is that catchphrase, then it would be something that the Luna Wolves believe of themselves, I don't think the likes of Angron, as V__D says, would take kindly to that. Think of how Angron acts towards Eidolon, so he's not in favour at the moment but still. Primarchs are better than Astartes in all regards, at least that's how some of them think.
Abbadon has a short tolerance of everyone, think of how he acts towards Horus, his own Primarch, involving the Interex.

It's weird how that short tolerance disappears when in the immediate presence of those who would act in retribution on it with no hesitation. Like Angron, for example.

He's a bully, that can steal your lunch money apparently , but he poops himself when their are those that can whoop him.
I think it's a case of little man syndrome, he wants to be a Primarch so so much, but will never get there, so he has to be all angry and scary to everyone until a real Primarch shows up and he's all yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir. Apart from Alpharius, and that's because he is shorter that Abaddon.
I think that's why that Abaddon would not be accepted as the second in command to Horus if he were to have been killed early, he's only an Astartes in the presence of Primarchs.

Abaddon is lucky that Alpharius is so cool-headed. Despite his short stature, Alpharius is still a Primarch, and I have no doubt he could have crushed a helmed Abaddon's skull between his fingers.
