I've made some changes to this list since I first made it after the codex came out. I have not had a chance to use it yet. Could this be an effective all comers list?
Aun'Va
Firewarrior x10
Firewarrior x6 EMP w/ Devilfish
Kroot w/ Sniper x10 krootox Rider
Kroot w/ Sniper x10 krootox Rider
XV8 Missile Pod, Fusion, Early Warning Override, Gun Drones x2
Riptide ion, Fusion, Early Warning Overide, Stim
Pathfinders x5
Broadside Velocity Tracker, Missile Drones x2
Sniper Drone team +2 Marksmen
Allies:
Necron Overlord warscythe MSS CCB
Necron warriors x5 w/ Cryptek Harb of Destruction, solar pulse
fortification:
Aegis Defence Line with quad gun
1495
A mix between gunline and mobile is important I've found for Tau since they will need to go out and get objectives to win games. I struggled between the extra firepower of shadowsun versus the support of Aun'va and decided the support is more effective (re rolling morale for tau is huge) plus he gives me one free turn of going to ground with my army which is a really nice defence to have (2++ behind my ADL). The purpose of the nercons is the overlord gives me some close combat strength which i need (used him in many games with my Tau and he has helped me win many of them). The warriors helps me get at least 1 turn of nightfight or if i'm lucky a second turn. This is very useful as well if I need to go to ground out in the open or for my suits with blacksun filters.
suggestions? thoughts? I'm open to hearing it all since I have not played with the new codex yet.

Hello Slagmar, the tau side looks interesting, though I don't feel I know enough to really comment on that part.
However I do have a few things to say about the Necron allies.
First off, you need to field the minimum requirements to take Necron allies, that means an HQ and two troop choices. You only have one troop choice.
The HQ looks good, catacomb command barge with a warscythe is deadly, and mindshackle scarabs are pretty much required with a Necron Overlord .
For the cryptek, you can only upgrade a cryptek to one specific type of Harbringer. If your cryptek is upgraded to a harbringer, he may only take items from that specific list of wargear. To take a harp of dissonance, you need to upgrade your Cryptek to a Harbringer of Transmogrification (it comes with it,) which means you can't take a solar pulse. To take the solar pulse (which I'm a big fan of and would definitely recommend) you need to upgrade your Cryptek to a harbringer of Destruction. That would give it the eldritch lance instead of a Harp of Dissonance, which in my opinion is much better.
As for the warriors, just taking 5 isn't a good idea, one good shot a them will take them down, making their reanimation worthless.
Other than that, you seem to be on the right track, just make sure your necron allies follow all the rules for taking an allied army.

Actually, you do NOT need to field two troops choices for allies, just one HQ and one Troops. And as for his Cryptek, it is listed above as a Harbinger of Destruction with the Solar Pulse (and his post is not edited) so I'm not sure wheat on holy Terra you're talking about.
@Slagmar, I like the list, and the manipulation of Night Fighting! Cool stuff!

@Slagmar, interesting combination. Have you considered taking Imothek instead of the O/lord on barge? The reason I'd go for Imotekh is that you get nightfight for more than one turn (if you are lucky with rolls), plus you get lightning as well.
granted you won't get the same CC effect, but the extension of nightfight should provide a bigger benefit?

I know this was brought up in other forums and maybe a debated issue still but taking Imothek means the lightning can hit my Tau forces too correct?

As far as I know, it will. Still wondering if it's worth it. If you take one of those chronoteks, you might be able to reroll a successfull hit on your own side, taking minimal and unimportant lightning hits.

I'm not sure about the Tau but I think that 5 necron warriors is a little small for a squad. You'll hardly be able to take advantage of their reanimation protocols because a unit of 5 can be taken out so quickly by almost anything. I'd up it to at least 10.

I hadn't read this, but have just had a quick look in the codex and the rulebook. I can see why the debate would arise but I don't think that lightning should hit your Tau, because nightfight is not a psychic attack. However, don't want to start the debate all over again, maybe just confirm with your gaming group?

Imotekh's lightning will hit your Tau, so I wouldn't take him.
The Nec Warriors should really be in a Night scythe, super mobile scoring is the most important reason to take Necron allies. You can fairly easily just swap the CCB for a NS by dropping 20pts somewhere.
Single Crisis suits are just free KP's, plus you don't want to use markerlights to buff small squads as you get very minimal returns out of it. I'd swap the Crisis suit for another Broadside and add it to the existing squad.

Thanks for the feedback - as I improve the list I do have a quick rules question - can the cryptek use the solar pulse if he in reserves on a night scythe? That could make a difference if i use the transport or if i just increase the squad size.
