Frazz, don't let the dogs anywhere near chocolate, especially not that stuff, it's got a very high concentration of theobromine in the concentrated cocoa, it's likely to be lethal, especially in little dogs.
Good to know MGS. THANKS!

Be careful of onion and garlic as well, in larger amounts they can also be toxic to them. The onions sort of create clumps in the blood or decrease the red blood cell's life span thus leading to the dog possibly becoming anemic. While it'll probably take a bit to kill it, it can make them pretty sick and appear fatigued at least. It's not as well known as the chocolate so I thought I'd just chime in with it while the thread was swung this way.

I know about chocolate. I didn't know Nutella had chocolate in it. No one lets me get close to it. Those little bastards er, my loving children pull a gollum and scurry off with it....
Didn't know about garlic and onions though. Thanks again!

have you ever met ballet dancers up close? The troop here in Houston sometimes wanders into the tunnels by work. They're almost freaky. Short, thin, no muscle tone, definitely strange, almost dollike.

Having lived in the same house as a 16-year-old gymnast who was for a time in training for the olympic squad, I can confidently say they are anything but malnourished and under-developed. I don't know about a Buick, but she could have bench-pressed her elder brother...

See I've heard garlic is positive for dog's digestion if you're feeding them a meat based diet (that's what I heard from a musher friend of mine any way)
As to this girl... someone needs to stick a vitamin IV in her arm and force feed her some actual freaking FOOD! Maybe start with REAL ramen.
You'll notice large amounts of animal flesh and veggies in there, recipes vary by animal, some places get exciting and add egg... I personally like to add some spices to mine when I'm eating at a restaurant.
Note to self: Learn how to cook actual ramen at home.

Our dog ate an entire bag of Hershey's kisses - foil and all - and washed it down by licking up the entire bottle of Resolve carpet cleaner she had knocked off of the counter and broken while getting to the aforementioned kisses.
Boxers are tough.
As for the topic at hand, I'm not sure I buy it. If true, I'm not sure what we do with that gene pool.

I fixed that for you , and whilst I'm really glad your dog is well, chocolate is bad for dogs and can kill them. Whilst milk chocolate is less toxic than dark or drinking chocolate, it's still bad for a dog and can cause heart attacks and will likely give the dog discomfort and the gaks.
The sensible solution is to just avoid it for dogs.
Also, little known fact, avocado is intensely lethal to birds.

My dog once devoured a roll of toilet paper and several teabags (of the herbal kind) she seems to be doing fine though...
We had a puppy that ate a small tin (maybe 500ml) of red oil based paint and survied (but his gak was bright red for weeks). Dogs seem to be quite resilient.
I presume that the sad little bits of dried 'green' in the noodles contain just enough vitimin C to keep scurvy at bay.
