Interesting topic.
I have 323 albums in CD form.
That together with additional MP3s on my computer equates to 129GB of data and a total of 17937 individual tracks lasting 596 hours 31 minutes and 21 seconds (if my music player is to be believed).

Usually your music player of choice will tell you the total time for any playlist. At least the one's I'm used have (Windows media player, Winamp and JetAudio player) I just always have all my music on the playlist and have it play random.
What media player do you use?

Just shy of 4gb.

And I'm sure some songs have managed to copy themselves, so perhaps half a gig to a gig or so of that might just be inexplicable copies of songs already in there.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Probably work

Not in front of it, but I think about 30gb.

I seem to recall its play time being approximately 10 days. The Pink Floyd alone is a good 12 hours of that, and a hell of a way to spend a day.

Honestly, I mostly rely on my Pandora app for driving or Spotify when I'm at home. It's been several months since I've actually downloaded anything.

39.6GB of non-rap (9,321 tracks), and 3.3Gb of rap (915 tracks, pretty much all of it pre-2000ish).

I do not know why my file ordering conventions break down that way, but that's how it does.

I also have 2GB of FLAC, which were largely an experiment to see if I could hear a difference. I concluded that even with audiophile grade cans, I simply incapable of perceiving the difference in fidelity between a lossless file, and even a poorly-mastered low bitrate MP3 (I also have a terrible sense of smell, but that's another issue). I'm not saying there isn't a difference, simply that it is imperceptible to me - one of my good friends says he can clearly hear it, and he's the smartest person I know so I presume he's right.

1.) Go to your music directory. In the search bar in the top right. Search for *mp3, which should find all your music.
2.) Select the first file. Scroll down to the bottom, and then hold down the shift key, and select the bottom one. This will select them all.
3.) Right click over the selection and pick "enqueue in Winamp" (or whatever, I don't have it installed on my work laptop)
4.) In Winamp, open the playlist, and hit MISC at the bottom, then MISC OPTS. Generate HTML playlist.
5.) The playtime will be atop the list, and will look like this, my current selection:

56 tracks in playlist, average track length: 4:44
Estimated playlist length: 4 hours 25 minutes 43 seconds
(4 tracks of unknown length)
Right-click here to save this HTML file.

I had more, but I told my wife that my iTunes doesn't need Hanson and Britney Spears on it.

You know, I feel really weird because I only have around 3.5gb. I can go days without listening to any music sometimes. I guess I'm not really a music person. That said, most of the time I hear something I like I listen to it on youtube till i'm sick of it, so I usually don't end up buying it.
