ga-you, only as a single syllable rather than two, as you would pronounce "Queue".

Goo-eh.

With El'Myamoto basically shattering the last "not the anime army" arguments, it only makes sense to use Japanese pronunciation. Copy this into Google Translate with Autodetect Language, swap the two boxes and ask it to speak it;

グエウ

If I remember correctly, in DoW it's pronounced something like /gej/ or /gE/ (these sound basically identical to English speakers). So what Somedude593 said.

I say 'Geh', rhyming with the 'eh' sound in 'egg'.

For me it's "gweh". Sounds like the egg "eh" mentioned earlier.

That Dawn of War clip sounds more like "gwai" (rhymes with eye, shy, and buy). Several pronounciations I didn't expect here.

Other. As Tau are an Asian-inspired race, Gue to me should be pronounced similar to Mandarin Xue, Yue, etc.

"Gweh". "Goo-eh" is similar. Anything else would be the typical British butchering of Asian pronunciations.

However you want to.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Gue'la is based on the Chinese word "gwailo," which means foreigner. So "gway" is the best way to pronounce it.

I always pronounced it "Gway", but ultimately I feel it's up to you to decide... Same as if you are reading a great novel that has many "odd" names that YOU have to choose how to pronounce. It's a hobby, meant for your personal enjoyment, do what you like and screw any naysayers!!!

Sun Tzu: "It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle."

Since it's spelled in English it's a hard 'g' and pronounced "geh".

As in guerrilla, not gwa-rilla.
As in guess, not goo-ess.
As in guest, not gwast.

It's ostenibly not an english word but a phonetic representation of an alien language, in which case, it's more logical to assume it's been transliterated and that every letter has an unambiguous effect on the pronunciation. Considering the Tau, I'd look first at mandarin or japanese. 'Gweh' or "goo-eh", roughly and respectively. We don't transliterate 'お元気ですか' as "oh guenki dehsoo kah".

I liked the way it was pronounced in the clip, which surprised me. Americans usually pronounce things very American. I'm not trying to start a debate or to say that's bad. it's just one way to pronounce it. If you borrow a word from another language, you pronounce it as you will. Same thing here. It's fine no matter how you pronounce it.

It just surprised me when the very clearly American Tau said gwai-lah, rather than gwe or goo (or even goo-eeh) as I had expected him to.
