Thanks Dave and skalk. I blew up because of money talk. I get over it really quick, but I get frustrated about spending large denominations especially now that we are down to one income. Me staying home though was the plan, it just happened a few weeks ahead of schedule. Spent the last hour watching justice league unlimited and sorting stuff to ship out. I will get it done this week. Hopefully the receivers enjoy what is packed.

As for age, I'm 38 going on more than that. I still have to remind myself I'm not a spring chicken. I have the endurance to outlast anyone I know, I'm just not able to lift and carry a few hundred pounds anymore.

Well now it really is bedtime. Kids have a half day tomorrow and I still have work at the grandparents to do. Their basement is about 2500sq. Ft. Of 50+ years of hoarding. I got rid of 6 trash cans full last week, and built a mountain of cardboard 6'high and 10'wide that needs to be cut down and set out for recycling.

I should have asked to keep some of his old photo albums. He worked for some big named heavy equipment sales companies like caterpillar, as well as designed, built and sold mining and excavation equipment. I though those pics would be great for reference, but as I am trying to get him to throw away unnecessary things, I would have felt like a hypocrite if I asked to keep something he thought was junk.

I really tweaked my back aYear and a Half ago. Could barely walk, had to go through physical therapy and all, but I had hurt it worse as a kid working for our family business. A couple separate times where I'd be in bed for almost a week unable to get up and do anything strenuous. I haven't had any problems since then, and now I finally know my limitations, or a least what Is reasonable.

Did some scavenging last night and got a couple boxes ready to go to the post office today. Hobby karma good

Back problems are one of those things you just blow off and ignore..until they happen to you! -I've never had any serious back injuries, but I have a tendency to pull and strain my right hamstring quite often, the ham is one of those muscles that is connected to everything else, when it is injured, the shoulder, and upper back all have to work overtime to compensate.

It's always the little things hat get you. I broke my pinkie toe years ago, and never been so uncomfortable before, even passing a kidney stone. You never realize how much you use that stupid toe until you try walking with it broken. The only thing you can do is tap it to the one next to it and chew some ibuprofen. Limping on I for three weeks put my back out of alignment and caused other annoying things for months afterwards.

@dave, I'll take it if your willing to part with it. I could use the rails in the future if you don't have a master plan for them. Your package and Viks will be leaving today.

I have 3 Badgers, and another one just like it, I bought it purely for educational and Karma purposes! Will pack it up ASAP!

Very much appreciated, a certain German bloke will be seeing some love as well. Man I'm so glad I got away from the news and rumors section and started hanging out here. though like an addict I still look over there time to time, Mainly when I want to feel bitter and snipey.

Okay so right as I was leaving the house I was thread skimming when I got challenged by nathanie1. He is making an excellent necromunda army, gangs not quite the word, and I had commented how he should magnetize something. In return he challenged me to magnetize a zombie to split in half......

Well with only a couple minutes till I had to get out the door with the kids I began prep work.

Drilled holes in my free manticore zombie sprue that I got a year ago and it's been sitting since. I should get bonus points for using tiny mantic stuff.

Rough idea in my head, typing on my smartless phone while waiting for the kids to go into school. Hopefully will flesh this out tonight. pun intended.

Edit: back from grandparents. Only had to spend about two hours this time to fill up 6 trash cans and level the cardboard mountain. I forget if it was here, in Dave's thread, or in Viks where we were talking about no sense of smell. I should clarify that mine is just serverly reduced, not absent. What does it matter you say? Last week a the grandparents I thought I was just the smell of mildew and mould that was giving me a headache, until I walked around the side of their house and smelled gas. I made poppy call the gas company before I left, didn't hunk much of it because it wasn't bad to me. Th gas company came out, shut the lines down, waited for the gas to dissipate, and then fixed 3leaks. They had to wait because of the amount of gas present.

This week went so much better, and no headache might get some stuff done before I go to pick up the kids, but will probably rest.

That happened with my SeaView sub kit, even after priming flat black inside and out.

a gas leak? whoa... that could have been really dangerous...glad you could put two and two together... we mere mortals often just put odd happenings away and sgrug them off... our guts really can tell a story or two of worth!

On the subject of physical age, I come in at 49 and with a truck load of problems, aches and pains, I hate having to take so many dang pills to get through my day!, Blood pressure/magnesium/potassium/water pills/arthritis pills/ibuprofin of the 800mg size. GAH!

Have to sit to play a decent 40k game or tourney anymore as I can't stand for more than 5 mins before the legs hurt and burn.

I have my work station at the computer with an ergo-nomic mesh chair to stay comfortable as I do what I can before the hands cramp up.

i´ve heard that if you take iboprofen for more than two days in a week... taking the pills is the cause for the need to take the pills...

While waiting on the legs to cure I figured it was time to give myself a helping hand.

This is version 1.0 not sure how it will work out, but I'm cheap and don't want to spend $20.00 on one from the store.

Hopefully the legs will be done tonight and I can assemble and disassemble him a few times.

Don't you hate it when you run out of ammo, have to use a bat to smash the stupid zombie, and all it does is turn his head around backwards?

Yes, I have since added a plasticard base (version 1.1), I will have to add more weight later (1.2). I'm sure I'll be at version 27.9 by midnight and wind up buying the one from the store , but it was a chance to try out those mini clothes pins I picked up.

Post 800, not a big deal to most but as it took me three years o get to 450, and two weeks to get to 800 I think it's an accomplishment for me.

I hate those things, except when soldering.

Unlike carnival workers I have large hands. Comes with being 6'5". No being very nimble it was an attempt at a good idea.

Age wise I'm apparently some sort of spring chicken... I clock in at 31yrs old (32 July 31st) but already I have a toasted back (genetics... Yat Genes ) Poor-bad knees (Genetics again... mostly overcome via PT) and I'm going bald... Yay.. (genetics again )

Sometimes Galorn, the making of the fevered idea into a physical reality helps keep the pains away better than the pills.

Haha always funny when two people are typing at the same time. I thought you were telling galorn he needs steel or wood to solve the bad back, bad knees, and baldness.

Galorn, my hair started dropping this year too. Genetics here as well. The rest of my problems are just due to thinking I can do anything by myself. There was a time when I would lift and carry 300+ pounds no problem, not such a good idea. I'm no hulk, but back in the day we had fun moving a friends ford fiesta while they were distracted.

Edit do we need a to change the name to the league if extraordinary bald riveters. Anyone who wishes to enter must shave their heads?
