Well I had a similar idea for a droid, but had no use for him in the army list, don't know what he could count as....

Hard to tell, but it's a matte black basecoat on my Paulsongames.com raptor for the mechafront.com game. I just can't decide on color, probably just basic grey, with some details. I just can't get it into my head that they would ever camouflage a giant walking robot. Really when it takes a step your going to know where it is. Maybe f I was a good painter I'd try to make it look like a faint walking McDonald's sign or something like that. Because they're everywhere.

If it wasn't for my kids fighting yesterday ALL day, it would have been the perfect day.

that could be my epitaph too.... low on food or drink... or when they are tired they bicker and fight amongst themselves no end... and then... just like the changing of the weather all of a sudden they are again a two headed organism working in perfection and play hapily together... it is totally vexing... and mind you... when they fight the kids gloves are totally off.... i have to go inbetween then more than once a day... arghhh^^

@vik, now I just have an image of you fighting a two headed midget and getting stomped , no wonder your hooked on Las Vegas, there you have a chance of being in charge. With three I just try to salvage part of my sanity every day. The models keep me company and give me little pep talks to keep me going.

Current state of the frosty mugs, original color scheme has changed, but liking the change what do you guys think? I've never done dwarves before, but beginning to like them. Also anyone who has painted leather before, what color wash do you use on it?

There's some beards to be proud of. They could be backing singers for ZZ Top.

What colour leather do you want? Gryphone sepia or older flesh wash work well, but usually a brown with a red tinge should do you nicely Theo :-)

Don't make your leather too close to the beard color though

@Dr. H, thanks, one of the reasons I never wanted to paint guard was because of skin tones and hair, but liking doing the dwarves, because the hair came out well and who knows what real dwarf flesh looks like
@dave, thanks, and hopefully the reddish wash will be helpful in keeping the hair and leather looking different.

Here's a close up of the one mostly finished blitzer. I don't even use h blitzers on my team normally. Rather have another lineman with tackle to start off and crunch some dodgey elves and goblins.

as for the leather... i cut out the middle man and use lots of awesome sauce...

I used that wash on their hair vik, so I tried Ogryn flesh for the leathers. Will try pics in the morning. Full day of wife and kids today, so not much happened hobby wise.

I see the dwarven bloodbowl team and all I can think of is MEAD AN VALHALLA!

Did a Little more painting on the frosty mugs this morning, but nothing enough to warrant a photo. Added two more of the dwarves to bases as on that I had started I just realized most of the detail on it was obscured by he previous owners paint job an the primer. So that dwarf is going to take a bath in some super clean. The other is another berserker who is going to get a different paint job, and possibly get converted into a star player.

It was a bit of hobby karma , I had sent him some khorne stuff for his shrine, and he gave me first dibs on this .

Most o the morning has been with the kids, and were going to a water park at lunch time, so not much to show. But I did squeeze in some time on the attack bike.

It must operate as a marine attack bike so the twin bolter is going between the front wheels. A pilot will sit on the swivel with the heavy weapon, and an engine with the rocket will be in between the rear wheels.

honestly? try to get the toy... there are so many out there of that bat car/tank... i think it would be the quickest and easiest and all for one way to keep you most of your top hair... that look really is one hell of a complicated one...

My son has one of the tumblers, it's even remote controlled , but I just wanted similar, not completely the same or I would be much more bald.

I'll be working more on it, but just having difficulties with the side panels.

Well at least we're in the same airship!

Had to pack EVERYTHING away for a party we are having tomorrow. My wife has invited the entire English department over for a team building event, with all their kids . They get the basement while all the team and their spouses will be upstairs. My kids know better than to touch my stuff, but ten plus other kids the same age and younger. I think if I knew this I would have rigged up electric fencing.

oh....i cross my fingers for the saftey of your stuff...
