the parking meter i didn´t get the first time...had to look that up as the shape didn´t ring the right bells... a more disc shaped thingy on top would have done the trick tho

but the letter box looks very good!... totally the part!... i wonder now why dave never did one already? after all i dunno how often i found valubale stuff in FO there

as for the earlier stuff about freindship and a rivet con ( a rather quick and blunt sumup)... that left me all warm and fuzzy feeling inside...

A dice tower that will blend into the necromunda field.


If you look hard you'll see the four baffles inside of the tower that help to ensure the randomness of the rolls. I have tried it out a few times and it works great with the different dice in the picture.

Thinking of using a lid from a jar as the base of this which will help keep the dice from going everywhere.

a dice tower is also something i wanted to do for quite some time... but i haven´t found an appealing concept yet...

i think you can do better´n that... something more munda like... use the same bridge railings and you have yourself a nice scheme that isn´t off balanced

@Vik, the lid wasn't working, not enough of a lip, the dice would bounce over it too often. I will give the idea of using the bridge some thought as I like the concept

In the mean time, did a bit of detailing on the front of it

Still needs some rivets on the front crossbars.

The back just gets a row of different sized pipes to dress it up.

Maybe you could build a picket fence round it, possibly out of sprue, but you could use your train tracks...

@dr. H, you must first take over the world sprue supply. As it stands even if I became a spruologist I'd still have a few years worth piled up.
@vik, I think a larger lid might d it, or if I build up the edges. I'm thinking of doing a construction site type barrier wall, or pipes which just happen to be in a square.
@fango, just go to work and tell your boss he's doing it wrong.....multiple times...it might make you more productive while sitting at home
@dave, great now I have an image of him in jackboots with a riding crop made of sprue.

I wasn't planning on this dice owner supporting anything like walkways, just to be one of he support columns of he hive with the power conduits and pipes going p to the next level. Still baffled by what I can use at the bottom where the dice come out. I'm actually considering a little non functioning fountain. Put a model on a plinth and then make retaining walls around it. The other option is to have a reflecting pool at the bottom.

Willing to take suggestions here as I don't have a good concept in mind.

How about a basin with flourescent green colored PVA glue at the bottom to represent a sump or something?

A basin is exactly what I'm thinking about for it dave, just need a good concept for the surrounding of it

In the mean time I wanted to get another idea fleshed out.

Googlie eyes will be painted to look like the regular red, yellow green.

Exactly what I was thinking, have a low concrete wall surrounding the 'sump' with a couple of small sewage pipes coming out of it and dumping into the cesspool. Then put a chain link fence on the low wall if the dice like to bounce out.

A street light in the sewer? Stop poop, slow poop, go poop. Yeap...

@fango, I think I'll make the "pool" part similar to how I made the grub hub walls. Extend the corners up higher an possibly use the mesh gutter covering stuff I have for he fence. Thanks

Meanwhile I had to go mail off a package for a swap shop deal, so I took some time to swing by a few stores. Only picked stuff up at th thrift store.

Packs of things called squinkies. Got them for $0.99 per pack including tax.

Here's a set out of their packages. 14 in a pack, the 4 in the back row were the random mystery guys in the red plastic balls. The rest came in the clear plastic balls. I originally wanted the balls (there you go nerdfest ), no other way of saying it, go ahead and take it out of context. The little guys are a rubber type material and seem to have a hole on the bottom so they can sit on erasers. Each pack comes with two dice and rules to battle with, really basic, but who cares. These things will probably make it into my playground area as the statues in the MINIGOLF course. Not sure what I'm going to do will the round balls now ,they are too big to be anything besides beach balls.

Read the anthology "Fear the Alien" there is a an investigator who comes for a man to help investigate some grisly murders, he uses a fairly fancy ground car.

In one of the Horus Hersey series books (has alpha legion), a police officer from one planet rides in one if memory serves. Just sold my books so I can't remember which one. Plus once again my area of the hive is one that has been protected for ages from a collapse, which just recently reopened. Let the plundering commence.

Starting a second set of bases, this time with tile work.

It flows with my other set of bases as one of the dread bases has both tile and brickwork on it. They will have different features to them to represent different areas of the same facility. The sewer level entering into the tiled area of the lower levels. I'll later have some with the diamond plate pattern for upper levels and gantries.

Then I think you should have a perfectly mint-condition '59 Cadillac converted to hover-mode

That is because their Rosette's give them unlimited funds and pimp-daddy status (if they want it) wherever they go!

This should be the Inquisitions vehicle of choice...

Finished the 40mm bases in tile, and a quick mock up of the door for the half tile, half brick base.

I don't have any more bike bases and only one more 60mm base that I can convert. I also need to finish up some more 25mm bases.

Man Theo the paint scheme on the brick looks ace! And those bases are pretty damn snazzy as well
