Finished the 40mm bases in tile, and a quick mock up of the door for the half tile, half brick base.

I don't have any more bike bases and only one more 60mm base that I can convert. I also need to finish up some more 25mm bases.

I can fix the lack of bases. (Once I am back up and running anyhoo.) Pm me your address and ill get some blanks heading your way.

the new bases look very good...I imagine them a clean and mint...like fat chance this will happen to them

and those balls... well I like these shapes to be used for tank sponsons... my steampunk style... one day I challenge you to such a thing

@shaso, yes I've been following cnc for a while heir new trv is awesome, shipping is not though. I look at things I could buy and then try and make them from my scrap, call me cheap, but on a tight budget I'm okay with that.

Thanks for he kind words guys, it keeps me going (working not pooping). Thinking of graffiti for the sewer. Since I have sewer stuff and kitchen stuff I was thinking of a sign saying flush twice its a long way to the kitchen .

Vik, since you love odd stories while I was typing this I got o watch the squirrel at the bird feeder. I trimmed some branches away from the house so now he squirrel has to jump further to get to our roof, which is his shortcut to his tree in the backyard. Lets just say he missed, guess he's had too much birdseed he did the Wiley coyote running fall all the way to the ground. Good times.

LOL... our grands had a garden of their own...(it was a separate estate to their apartment... it is a thing here in Germany...) and we had this squirrel...also we had these ´orrible looking garden chairs... with big flower print on the seat cushions... well... mister squirrel was all in favour of these... he literally ate them... gnawed at them and tore them off... never to be seen again... my granny was all the rage as the filling of the cushions got spilled every time the lil fether had a go at these... I dunno if it was that tasty... but you never know with squirrels... somehow they are quite a weird breed...

and you save your balls for me?...have you checked with your wife.. well you have three kids... but maybe she would mind nevertheless?...beside... I think your voice would probably not be that nice to hear after that...

I think his might convey some of the thousand words like , that I screamed today.

Decided to try he airbrush again, guess I didn't clean it good enough last time as I had the paint thinned appropriately, but it wasn't coming out. So I dumped that paint, stripped it down, cleaned it, reassembled, tested with no paint and had good pressure, added paint, got a few squirts, then it started shooting out he cap on top.

Half a roll of paper towels later I could see the screen of my iPad which was three feet away. It will need a new screen protector as the paint seems to have damaged the screen protector on it.

That is how my day went. I have he airbrush soaking right now, I may take it out later. Or I may take it out

oh NO!! You've probably got a clog in the nozzle if it's bubbling out the top of the color cup!

Dude that sucks. Did you rove the needlem as part of your teardown to clean it? It sounds like you may have dried paint in the nozzle. They only way i've come across to clean that is to remove the nozzle and then carefully scrape it out with a needle.

Theo, sounds nightmarish, my sympathies. Also, lovely bases, btw!

@galorn, I had every part taken out and separated.
@dave, thought I had the nozzle clear. I had it out an was able to see light brought the tiny little hole. Guess it could have gotten clogged, but the paint was so thinned I have no clue.
@shaso, yeah it would figure that I finally get the painting bug and want to try the airbrush then this happens
@graven, I will probably have nightmares about it tonight. I've showered and scrubbed, but still have paint all over me

Enough of my pity party...this is more confirmation that my armies should always be primer white, grey or black. The only way they'll get here colors is if I use all three primers . Glad I'm more into the designing and building than actual play.

@dave, rust I'll come with time , but its on reason my underhive is in great shape , that and the servo skull janitors.

Gave it another shot after stripping it down again and cleaning again. It worked, for a little bit, then clogged again not all at once, but slowly. I have the paint really runny. The only thing I can think is the pressure is too high since my compressor doesn't have an accurate pressure gauge.

Just cleaned again,might try another attempt in the morning, but if its this much aggravation each time then back o the good old brush.

Do you have a moisture trap on your brush? A buddy of mine had the same problems and turned out he never put one on. Fixed his problem right away

He was using too much pressure if it shot out the color cup.. you need that digital pressure gauge from Harbor Freight to reliably set it for 10-20 psi

@kingcracker, I don't have a moisture trap, will look into it today
@dsteingass, that's why I have hat pressure regulator sitting on the shelf , need to get a male/male 1/4 fitting to connect it today. I'll be close to harbor freight, so quick swing by and I'll get some and look at moisture traps.

If it was base coated metal I'd say the jobs done cause it weathered itself. The 2small sewer walls that I got done were looking decent as well.

The airbrush might not become a hood ornament after all.....didn't change my mind on my new quote though.

Did you prime that first?

Yes it was primed white. Same thing happened on the green tower I airbrushed last time. Probably the pressure being so high. Could be the humidity or temperature since its hot outside, but I thought I gave it enough time to cool.

I'm sorry I sent you such a cheap tool man. I really thought it would be fine for basecoats, figured you'd eventually upgrade to a decent one....

Dude no problem, I still appreciate it, I'm just a noob figuring stuff out. I'm not giving up, in fact this little escapade is getting me to try harder with getting it up and running. I'd rather try and fail a few dozen times (hopefully not that many), so I learn how to do it right, than to get it right off the bat think I'm a hotshot and make an ass of myself later.

My first AB was a secondhand Paasche with a bent needle and the previous owner sprayed Testors enamel green through it and never cleaned it. It was completely frustrating to use...

I had a badger as my first airbrush, but it kept biting me....badum-cha!

I really had a Badger airbrush, it's hiding somewhere. I got It cheap, like $20.00 with hose and accessories. But it used canned air, and when I saw the price of he cans I understood where they made the money. I got the compressor for Father's Day a few years ago, it's a cheap one, but works on airing up the kids bikes, my car tires, and soccer balls. It looked like I had decent control with this brush when it worked, but for wha I need it for is basecoating big things, like sewer walls, so hopefully we'll see progress tonight.

Tonight because its grandparent basement cleaning time let's go waste johns day.

Looking good, and definitely can fight the moonlight (sorry... )

I am thinking about picking up an airbrush, but I want to go get one from the local hobby lobby not order one. Do any of you know of any good ones.

Also I know the air compressor you are talking about my dad has one just like it
