Not much progress, work is ruining my modeling time and my home life. Wife is very worn out from me not being home in the evenings, and the kids aren't helping either because hey miss me too. Also the new shoes have caused serious blisters on my feet, to the point I can barely make it up the steps to the house much less the steps upstairs. I have actually stopped myself from going downstairs to do modeling a few times cause I don't think I'll be able to get back up the steps to bed or even to the first look for a bathroom break . I work tonight again then a day off (7 days straight), might be why the feet are hurting too. I did this while able to make the climb back up from the basement.

The start of the scissors lift using the parts from 2 dreamforge mules. Now. Need to find some tiny wheels for it and wait for the glue to dry. But that will be tomorrow at least as I'm leaving or work now.

Hot Wheels or other toy car wheels maybe? You have kids..there is always a sacrificial toy car somewhere nearby

@dave, my son would feel the same about his hot wheels if I came over and cut up your Legos. Needless to say an alternative would need to be found.

Luckily enough sweeping the floors last night I found some bits left from them un boxing new equipment for the operating room.

While looking at them this morning, the tips screamed "wheels" at me, okay I said and got to cutting.

Okay, you can uncross your fingers, not only am I safe but I am now a permanent full time employee. Well in two weeks I will be, and have immediate insurance paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and all those other benefits like 401k . I was told gently to stop pointing out how bad some of the employees are

At home now so I can type more. The last bit was more of an addendum than anything . The two bosses kept saying back and forth "Do you have anything else for John?" Like neither of them really wanted to touch the subject. Seriously one asked the other who asked the first back if "he had anything?", who muttered on for a minute, then re asked the second guy who changed the subject . I've brought the issue of the other guys up to them individually and in private, professionally my complaints have all been done in the "proper way". I've never berated anyone publicly, or used derogatory remarks . I think they were more intimidated at my management experience and pointing out what they've been missing than upset b how I handle things.

Getting the kids ready, it's cold again, but no the bone chilling negative temps it has been recently. While they are waiting for the buss I'm going to the garage to chop some PVC on the miter saw. Might get some layout done on my industrial zone.

@dave, yep, all three have management experience, two at fast food restaurants, the third (best of the three by far) upscale restaurant manager.

Well a couple chops later and $8.15 of PVC plus some scrounged clips from the trash.

The pipes worked out to be the right height for he mini leviathan to walk under, which means a dreadknight should it as well. Too bad for the riptides and the eldar giganto walker thingy , but we are imperial here and the foul xeno shall not pass.

Rear view. Where the dreadnought is tending I think I'll try and make a walkway that spans the gap between the pipes from he 1/4" square mesh dave supplied me with long ago. Either that or construct walkways that can sit on top of the PVC all over so the workers can walk the length of the pipeline.

Lastly another picture showing the height with a flight stand.

The height just happened to be perfect for hiding the stormtalon and was not planned at all. The pipe I used for elevation I had cut long ago and the soup (fruit actually)can was saved from dinner the on Monday night.

Other additions will most likely contain ladders, a pumping station with the necromunda bulkheads, and maybe a section of destroyed pipeline .

I agree with the walkways idea. Over the pipes perhaps?
