So after a huge break of overwork and under enthusiasm for little bits of grey plastic, I finally got some where with the embigoned Grey Knights .
I'm really happy with them to be fair but wow, these boys turned out big !
I've 5 terminators and a couple of terminator characters planned and not really sure what to do with the legs, as regular terminator legs look puny , I might up armour some Sigmarine legs or something ?!!?

Would love to hear your thoughts on these !

Great work Dr H. The more I see marines with the Sigmar legs the more awesome I think it looks, but you're right in that they dwarf regular marines.

I really like the double sword dude.

They look pretty good lots of people are using the sigmarine bits for 40k now, at least the legs make the 40k space marines look a bit better proportioned.

Another reason I dislike apple.

I was surprised how much extra height and bulk the legs gave, I added some plasticard spacers to the armpits and smoothed it to the chest armour with green stuff to "tru" the chest up but all the other bits are straight out the box without change, making it a very simple conversion to test the water, so to speak.

iPhones are weird, will have to start using a camera again.

The Sigmarine legs dwarf cataphracti or Tartaros legs tho, which where going to be my choice for the terminators.

Ideas short of tons of greenstuff anyone ?!?!

A very worth while alternative mate, however , I would hang on a bit as Joel @ Anvil is doing a new set of the Steam lords range to bring them up to his Afterlife standards , I'm hoping they will be awesome !

For Real? I knew they were working on the Regiment and the first 3D pictures look great, but man! If they are working on the Steam Lords, I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Cool conversion BTW, though I'm not a big fan of the feet... not enough 41st millenium for my taste.

Cheers!

Yes but I like the look of those spec ops you have used, using either none helmeted heads or an alternative less enclosed version of some kind.

I new Joel was adding to the range but did not know he was reworking the older stuff, the regiment stuff previewed looks bloody marvelouse.

@Damo you keep quite and back to your cage

I understood from Joel page on Dakka he was going firework the Steam knight range , which isn't bad but would be awesome if the level of detail went up to the afterlife level.
Anyhow, here's the last power armoured lads to the squad , 11 figures all up, 9 With swords and storm bolters and 3 with the heavy weapons options .

They remind me of something but I just can't place it, it's something like an old scifi cartoon where they are knights in a future setting.

I hope Joel does go that route as his miniatures are getting better all the time.

Hey LDD ! Yeah , I'm looking for a suitable detail to shave off and glue to the leg, but finding something the right size is proving tough. Think I'll just use a small skull and add horns with green stuff
Also have some greenstuff rolled out off the tentacle maker for the 'power cables' often seen on the front of librarians armour. Probably fit that tomorrow .

If you are just looking for a little something to fill the space, purity seals always work.

Very cool looking stuff here.

Nice idea on the shins but how about adding some edging as well to one shin.

Thanks Gits, the pose is similar to one in a drawing in the GK codex, I just happened to have similar parts !

True enough! Thanks for commenting !

Just for you LDD , skulls and edging ! Looks a bit dodgy to me at the minute, maybe I'll try to square it up better with a sharp scalpel once it's cured.
