Heya folks, I'm one to follow lore and such, but as I'm preparing to paint my BA army I'm having trouble picking colors. Would it be Too nuts to paint half green and half yellow, if so how about black instead of green. Let me know what yall smarties think

It's your call really. I mean, do you want colors that fit with the Blood Angel fluff? In that case, red.

They call them the Blood Angels for a reason... Red. Lots of Red with maybe some gold trim, because they are kind of poncy that way.

Now, if you wanted to do a BA Successor Chapter and change the colors up, go right ahead. Nothing says a Successor Chapter has to keep its parent Chapter's colors and iconography (though some do). Then, you could do whatever you wanted.

If you're being blood angels, then they really should be red.

If you're playing a blood angels successor chapter, based on your own fluff, then they can be any colour you like.

So even if you want to do puce with vivid pink polka dots, then thats fine.

Yeah, just make them a successor chapter and paint them however you like. That's what I did.

I paint mine Red but with gold trim, Gives them a bit of a fancy finish.

The Lamenters are a Blood Angels successor chapter with yellow as the primary color with the traditional black being of course their Death Company colors. Got some decently developed fluff too: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Lamenters#.UW8RK1L4KLM

My Blood Angels and Space Wolves are Pink.

People don't like losing ( when i win ) to Pink marines.
